Celebration

My Great nephew is turning 6 tomorrow, he is my sisters first Grandchild.  I buy calendars when they are 75% off after the new year has started and I use them to make homemade envelopes for my cards, well I had used up this calendar and was throwing away the back side that I didn't use when I saw this and thought that might make a cute image for a kids card, and sure enough it fit perfectly onto a regular A2 size card.  Just a tip for you when you are throwing away your calendar at the end of this year :)

The designer paper is from K & co.,  the orange strip of cardstock isn't really that bright, at least I don't remember it being that bright LOL!  The sentiment stamp is Studio G and I colored the candles with markers and then added stickles for the flames.  The image was framed using a Spellbinders Large classic Inverted Scallop Square.

Well the weather is getting HOT again 96 today and 99 tomorrow, but she assures us that this is the last of the very high temps, I sure hope so, I just have no want to be outside when it is that hot.

Thanks so much for stopping by,
Connie

Totally cute! I would trade you for our cool temps...we rarely see temps in the 90's even in the hottest part of summer. High 80's mostly, but right now it's 48 degrees...so much for summer!
