Happy Birthday Sis

Today is my oldest Sisters Birthday, I have been so intimadated to color this Northwoods Rubber stamp, sorry I don't know the name of it, I bought it at my LSS and there is no name on it, went on their site and couldn't see it either.  I colored it with pencils and added Eucalyptus, Shabby shutter, Scattered straw, yellow and cinnamon stickles to the leaves on the trees and flowers.  I did the card in a gatefold.

Basic Grey Origins 6x6 paper pack for the background, the tag is also Basic Grey chipboard tag that I added the same paper too and then stamped a Fiskars Cameo Ovations sentiment to it. The green brads are from Making Memories.

Here is how it looks closed, well with a paper clip holding it shut anyway.  I might try using markers the next time I color it and see how that goes, you can't see it very well here but I do like the shimmer the stickles gives to it.

My Father in law surprised us with a visit yesterday, he is on his way to a family reunion of my husbands step mothers side of the family, it's always nice to have family come and visit, always makes you wish you lived closer, but that has been our whole military life living away from family.

Have you heard that Michaels is now selling spellbinders?   Yep when they can keep it in that is.

Two days in a row of over 100 degrees here, but they say all next week we will be below our normal temps and will be in the 70's for our highs, YEAH! now that's my kind of weather :)

Hope you all enjoy a wonderful and safe  Labor day weekend!!!

This is SO pretty Connie! You did a wonderful job with the coloring and I just LOVE how it folds together from each side!

It's a really beautiful card! I bought some removable scotch tape so I could fold it (sticky side out) and then put it inside the card to hold it shut. HTH The card is lovely!
