Fathers Day

Can you believe I didn't get around to making my hubby a Fathers day card.  I will have to make him a card later out of the blue when he isn't expecting anything.... This one went to my Dad.

Tim Holtz Stampers Anonymous The Journey stamp set
Spellbinders Classic Rectangle and Labels Eight dies
DCWV Tattered time stack paper
Cuttlebug Script Embossing folder
HOTP Tags#2 template for tag
Walnut Stain Distress ink
Silver Rhinestone from Michaels
Fiskar Corner punch

I don't know if you can see it very well but this paper has embossed gears all over the paper.

I was picked as a favorite of the week for the wreath I made over at Splitcoaststampers...how exciting!!!  You can see it here. It is the first one that ChaosMom posted, you have to scrolldown a bit.

Hope you all enjoyed a great weekend and that the week ahead is a wonderful one!
Thanks so much for taking out the time to stop by,
Connie

I love your old car card I have a old car stamp I need to use it. I had to buy my husband a card but it was cute so I am happy with it. I love the way you made your card. I sold my first card on Etsy this weekend. I am so excited I can sell all the cards there because i don't know what i can going to do with a whole basket of cards. Have a great week! Hugs

Great card Connie. That truck is so nice, and your choice of background papers and the Dad tag are perfect!

I love the idea for the paper sack in your last post too. I used to have a lot of those sacks I had saved, but threw them away a few years ago when I couldn't figure out what to do with them. (They were really old). Now I need to find a gift shop that uses them so I can start saving them again!

Quite a handsome card! The gears folder adds the perfect texture! Congrats on your SCS favorites! I'd say it was a "no brainer". Your wreath ROCKED OUT!

Love that DCWV paper. They have some great collections. This with the gears is so perfect for the old timey truck. Your recognition on SCS is well deserved. Your wreath was awesome!

That's a great guy card! (And.. same thing with my DH. He is always the first to get left out if time is short. I don't think he minds though. Sometimes I get the feeling he isn't quite sure what to do with the cards I do make for him! lol)
