Birthday/Sympathy

My nephew has a 9 month old boy now, so I don't know how much relaxing he will be doing today but this is what I came up for his day.

Stampabilities -- Hammock Hibernation stamp, colored w/markers
Spellbinders -- A2 matting basics B and A2 Distressed edges dies
Recollecions -- Garden Harvest papers
DCWV -- card base
Hot off the press -- 130 tiny words and phrases stickers, sentiment in bottom left corner

I know it is hard to see the sentiment in the bottom left corner but I didn't want to add a big tag or something to put the sentiment on so I went with this way

A couple of days after making my nephews birthday card his best friend died after having a crate of tiles fall on his head at Menards in the Detroit area, I wanted to send him a card so I made the following card, it measured 3 1/4 x 4 1/2.

Memory Box -- Vespertine blossoms
Elizabeth crafts -- With sympathy die
DCWV -- Earthprints paper and cardstock

I know today will be a sad day, missing his best friend but I hope he can take the time to celebrate the blessings of his life.

Wishing you all a great weekend, I know I am enjoying the cooler temps!

Thanks so much for stopping by,

Connie

Connie, your first card is so darling! LOVE it! But then I read about his friend, and that is so sad and tragic. He was just a young man doing his job. How awful for his family. Your lovely card will be appreciated.

The cards you made are both wonderful! Hugs to you!

Wonderful cards Connie. Love the sweet image on the first one... that is how to relax! Sorry you needed a sympathy card. It is very pretty. Love the white and burgundy together.

That bear card is adorable! I know your nephew was thrilled with it. How sad for him though, that his best friend passed away. The sympathy card you made is just beautiful. He is sure to appreciate it. People often forget that when someone dies they leave grieving friends behind, too. Hugs!
