ODBDSLC213 Stitch it

We were able to meet up with our friend a few days after the funeral service of his wife and this is the card we gave him, when I saw this challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs , I got the idea for this card.  I used my sew easy to make the marks and sewed the vine by hand with floss.

Our Daily Bread designs -- Scripture collection 2
Spellbinders -- Cross Collection, curved rectangles dies (sponging while cardstock was still in the die)
My mind's eye -- Signature life by Jen Wilson paper
DCWV -- Metallic papers (cross and corners)
Fiskars-- Corner tab punch
Sew Easy -- Vine (large stitch)
Queen & co. -- Chocolate Delight pearls

We have such chilly temps today, I actually had to wear a coat for our walk, it is hard to believe just last week we were dealing with heat index in the 100's.  But it is alot more enjoyable when I am not over heated while walking.

Hope you all have a nice weekend ahead of you,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Connie

Oh, Connie, what a fabulous card with the cross and this Scripture verse of great comfort! It was one of the verses from the passage I read at my mom's funeral, and it remains a favorite! I love your colors and sponging, and your hand-stitching is wonderful! It's perfect for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge, and it's a joy to have you join us once again, sweet friend! Hugs!

Again, I'm so sorry about your friend. Your card is perfectly beautiful and understated, as a sympathy card should be. The vine is a clever and pretty touch.
