Father's Day

I was going in the process of making a totally different card for my Father in law when my hubby bought me these dies he knew I liked.  I think he was feeling so bad about the way I had been feeling the past week he was trying to bring some sunshine to my day.  I will go more into that later.

I am sharing this card over on Stephanie's Roses of Inspiration link up. Head on over for Inspiration from all area's of interest!

This is the card that I saw Pam make here when I saw that card I showed my hubby and said isn't that just beautiful, He thought it was pretty cool too.  I tried doing the technique of inlaying the background trees into my water colored background I did with tumbled glass distress inks which is hard to see in this picture, but it didn't work for me, not sure what I did wrong but may try it again with regular paper.  The trees in the foreground have foam adhesive to give it some lift off the card for adding dimension, just love that look.  Everything but the leaves have been inked :)  I loved adding the leaves for a guy card, I may even add little flowers for a guy card if it were in the spring, I am sure you will be seeing that too.

Memory Box -- Grand Forest Archway, small forest archway and Grove leaves dies
Poppystamps - Stitched landscape die
Impression Obsession -- small deer dies
Distress inks --Tumbled glass, walnut stain

I am doing much better this morning, I hadn't shared but I have been having chest pains at one point when I was just at a used book sale, I had shortness of breath, pain run down my left arm and was dizzy, when I came home I called my doctor that got me in that afternoon and he sent me to the heart doctor the next week.  I went through all the testing and he said I am all good but he was still concerned why I was still having a burning feeling in my chest so he put me on some meds that he said if I felt better after a month of taking them that it had cleared things up.  I felt ok the first 5 days but then it hit me and hard.  I had bad dizziness headaches (which are side effects) nausea, couldn't get normal things done around the house and have had no exercise for over a week now.  At first I didn't associate it with the meds because my hubby and girl friend and later her hubby was complaining about the same symptoms, but they were lucky and started feeling better after 2 days.  Then I just thought well it is lingering longer with me as things seem to the older I get, but my hubby encouraged me to get off the pills and talking to others that is what I decided to do and I think it may be working.  The only problem is my chest burning seems to be coming back so we are thinking it has something to do with something else.  All I know is I can't feel that way any longer and won't go back to those pills again.

Well that was probably more than I needed to share but just thought I would let you know, that I am very hopeful I am on the right track now.

Thanks so much for taking the time out to stop by and say Hi!
Have a wonderful week,

Connie

Oh my, I know that is scary. I hope you can find out what is wrong in the first place. Sometimes pills just mask the symptoms. Try to rest and take it easy to relieve any stress you have. I'll keep you in my prayers. I love your pretty deer! Sweet hugs, Diane

My dear Connie, I hope you're able to figure out what is going on! I have been praying for you, but now I can pray more specifically.

Your card is beautiful! My son was sitting next to me and when he saw it among the other posts at the party he pointed it and said, "Oh wow, look at that neat card!" :) Hugs to you, sweet frined!

Oh, Connie, I am so sorry to read your post about your suffering from chest pains and the issues with medication. I am praying for you and trust that God will guide you and the doctors to help you feel better. I know personally what a struggle it is and the fine balance of having to listen to the doctors and also listen to your body and heart.

I absolutely LOVE your card and love how you've added the dimension. It's stunning, and your FIL will love it. How precious that your sweet hubby purchased you this die!! Ah! Rest, my friend, and know that you are dearly loved and prayed for! Hugs!

Gosh, Connie, I can't imagine what's wrong with you, but I'm glad you went to the doctor right away. That's the very wise thing to do with your symptoms. I sincerely hope it is figured out and resolved soon. Your hubby is the sweetest for getting those dies for you. It's so nice that you share this with each other. Your card came out very cute! Great job on achieving the 3D scene you were going for! Now go take care of yourself!

Lovely card. So sorry to hear about your health issue. I've got to share I had the same thing and it turned out to be in my esophagus. It felt like a heart attack. After lots of test, it was confirmed that their was an irritation in the esophagus and a narrowing from scare tissue since I must have had this for awhile. They did an endoscopy, used a procedure called a balloon dilation to open it and then I took zantac to heal the area. That was in 2011 and all has been fine since. Doctor said that this problem can mimic a heart attack. Not sure if you have this exactly since you have pain in your arm, but I was dizzy too with chest pain right in the center. No burning for me. Everyone's symptoms can be different.
Hope you feel better and saying a prayer for you that all works out.
Take good care. Hugs and Blessings, cm
