Sympathy

One of the ladies in my cardmaking group that I have known for almost 10 years now has lost her sister in law that she has known for over 50 years.  This card went out to her.

This is my first time using this stamp and I really love it, I think it would work nicely for a birthday card also.  I stamped this three times with my Misti to get the deep black color you see.  Have you seen that they have a mini Misti now, not half the price but it is cheaper and smaller than the original, just in case you have been on the fence about getting one :)

I am linking this with Wen's Simply Neutral post .  Stop by and check out all the pretty neutral projects.

Crafters Companion -- Silhouette Grass stamp
My minds eye -- Lost and found 2 paper
Martha Stewart -- border punch
Hero Arts -- Everyday sayings
Ranger -- black enamel accents

I know a lot of you have already done it but today is the day I take down all my Christmas decorations and get out my collection of Snowmen, I have received so many wonderful snowmen over the years that I only put out a couple at Christmas time and save all the others to put out after Christmas, that way I can transition myself slowly out of having the whole house decorated for Christmas into winter wonderland :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope your week is going well,

Connie

That is a beautiful stamp and what a lovely way to use it!
I'm one of those people who take the Christmas stuff down within 2 or 3 days of Christmas -- I'm always ready to get things back in order again!

It's a beauty Connie, for such a sad occasion. I often wonder what you put on the inside, just a hand written note, or do you stamp the inside at all??

Hi, sweet Connie! Oh, what a joy to pop in for a visit :) I just love your sympathy card and I think it's absolutely perfect! I was very sad to hear of this precious lady losing her sister-in-law... I know your card was a blessing to her.

It's always sad to take down the Christmas decorations. I always miss the twinkling lights and sparkling ornaments. I took the tree down on Monday and now the house looks bare :)

Have a lovely day! Hugs to you!

Hi dear Connie! That is a very pretty stamp indeed, with a fragile beauty when done in black. I am sorry for your friend; it is a sweet thing to make a hand made card to express your sympathy, I am sure she will appreciate it.
Decs are down here at our place, now, and it looks rather dull.I love the idea of winter themed decorating...note to self!

Lovely sympathy card Connie! So sorry to hear about your dear friend's sister-in-law.

All of my Christmas decorations have been down for a week now. I want simple, simple, simple, so I've been busy cleaning and donating stuff that's been in the basement and crawl space for years. I have absolutely no sense of guilt getting rid of it all. "Stuff" drives me batty!

Oh, so pretty. The silhouette flowers are amazing. Very classy. Sorry you (or in this case your friend) needed a sympathy card. I've just taken our tree down... I like to keep it into the new year. :)
