Happy Valentine's Day

I went with the PoppyStamps Challenge HERE, for my hubby's Valentine card this year.  The challenge is Crazy in Love, and you were to use nontraditional colors or die in unexpected way and I tried to do both with my card.  First no red's on this card and the dies are tendrils and the flower center from the poinsettia die set. Made into the shape of a heart.

Poppystamps -- Lovely tendrils and Blooming Poinsettia dies
Sandylion -- Letter stickers
Corner stickers -- sorry no name
Stickles -- Vintage photo for flower centers

The card measures 5x6 1/2.

My hubby did a little recycling on the card he made for me, the hearts are cut from a red solo cup and the swirls were made from a post it note.  The others are dies.  His card measures 3 1/4 x 4 1/2.

It snowed again today, I would say we probably have a couple inches, not to bad once again, There was a lower attendance than normal at church today, right at the time everyone should be coming in it looked like a blizzard out there, I have to go early so I made it in when it was just starting.  Enjoyed a nice lunch out with friends ( I wanted to try the Velvet cake blizzard at Dairy Queen) before heading back home.
Hope you all had a nice weekend and have a wonderful week ahead of you.  Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by, so good to hear from you,

Connie

Dear, dear Connie! So touching you both made cards...your hubby is good at it too! I like both, it must have been a challenge not to use red or pink, but you did it beautifully.
We too have had snow showers, but very wet and soggy ones, I am glad you
managed to get out and about, and to church. Sounds like you help prepare for the service?
Have a blessed week!

I love the card that you created for your hubby. I love that he also made one for your, how creative. Especially cutting the cup into hearts, I never would have thought of that. I think it is so much more special when you can create something for each other. I hope you had a wonderful Valentines.

Those tendrils you used on your card are so pretty! Really a gorgeous card. And the poinsettia centers made perfect tiny flowers. Your hubby is a clever and thoughtful guy! Way to go with the recycling!

Connie, how precious that you and Greg made Valentine's card for each other - so sweet! I just love yours with how you've created a heart with the tendril dies and added the small flowers with "love" stamped inside. It's beautiful yet so appropriate for a guy! And, ah, I love how he recycled using hearts from a Solo cup. You are solo no more - yes, bad joke, eh? But truly, two sweet cards for two sweethearts! It often happens that church attendance is low when it snows, but how nice that you were able to enjoy some yummy Red Velvet cake blizzard! Ooh! Sweet! Warm hugs, sweet friend!
