Father's Day

For my Father in law. We were able to hand deliver his card this year. I started with regular cardstock then decided to try my watercolor markers on the water, no that didn't work at all wouldn't blend so then I went to using alcohol markers on top and tried to blend it took 3 other colors just to try and make it look some what normal, I did like the effect of the stickles to give the water some shimmer.

Stampscapes -- Old Mill Lg stamp colored w/markers
Stickles -- aqua in the water
Spellbinders A2 Distressed Edges dies
Fiskars -- Corner punch
DCWV -- Tattered Time Paper

Wishing you a great week ahead.

Its not easy to choose a design for a Dad in law, this looks perfect especially is he likes (or used to like) outdoor things. I like that you put the stamped picture on at an angle ~ it makes an impact like that. Hope you had a good time with him!
Happy card ~ making week to you, Connie!

Very rugged and masculine card Connie! You did a beautiful job! I line the nature scene; and cool look to the 'torn edges' too~

You always do beautiful work with your Stampscapes, Connie. I love a scene like this and I'm sure your FIL did, too. It's so nice that you were able to give it to him in person. I had a similar experience yesterday with my plain paper and watercolor. I should have known better, I guess. I ended up scrapping mine whereas you persevered and it turned out beautiful.
