Ray of Sunshine

One of the girls in my cardmaking group was using this die and did many cards with it and they were so pretty I thought they would be perfect for a friend who was having surgery and another that was celebrating a birthday.

I cut two pieces of paper and used the opposite for each card.
First off I wanted to send some golden rays of sunshine for my friend who is recovering from surgery.  I chose this picture of the card because it shows how much thicker the gold metallic paper is than the designer paper, I like how that pops.

The die I used in the center reminds me of the sun, so I thought that would be perfect for the center and I heat embossed the sentiment in gold also.

Taylored Expressions -- Ray of Sunshine
Craft Smith -- Chelsea lane paper
DCWV -- Metallic stack paper
spellbinders -- Lg. classic inverted scalloped circles
Mama Elephant -- Blessed sentiment stamp set
Flower punch
Stickles -- champagne (flower centers)

Taylored Expressions -- Ray of Sunshine
Craft Smith -- Chelsea lane paper
DCWV -- Metallic stack paper
Inkadinkado -- Garden Greetings stamp set
Spellbinders -- Classic oval and classic scalloped oval dies
Liquid Pearls -- Lemon Yellow

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in today and letting me know you did,

Connie

What a clever girl you are, using all of the paper to make two cards. They are lovely and the friends who receive them are both blessed to have a friend like you :)

Oh. My. WORD! Two totally fabulous cards with those sunrays! Wow! I especially love the gold with the sunshiny die in the center and the beautiful embossed sentiment. I see some of the same designer paper peeking out that you used on your second card, too. That's so cool that you reversed the DP and gold on the second card. Love that! These cards will be well received, Connie!
