Memories

I had told myself when I was getting so many dies from Dies R Us that I needed to stop all buying from the stores, but last month when I was in Hobby Lobby (and yes that is the last time I was in there)  I saw this die set and just loved it and also had that 40% coupon calling out to me so I got it.

Wasn't sure what I was going to do with it, but decided to sponge on inks and did a little masking to leave some of it white.  Then I went through my stamps to see if any would work with it and came upon this one, so I colored it up with my distress markers, trying to give it a bit of a water color feel.

Just in case you can't read the sentiment going around, it says,

May aging be forgotten when life's memories are remembered.
The corner treatments are separate from the main die and the leaves on the corners are also extra's so you can place them anyway you chose :)

This is a 5x6 card
Art Impressions -- memories window stamp colored, w/markers
Spellbinders -- Decorative Curved squares die, sponging w/inks
Nuvo -- Crystal drops, Golden Sunset glitter drops.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and letting me know you did, love to hear from you,

Connie

Very pretty! I really like your die, I think you could use it all one color too, but it is really pretty sponged with color like this! I am such a fan of those pretty AI stamps (although I don't have any) and you got a great watercolor look!

What a delicate looking frame it makes, it'll be ideal for all sorts of cards.
I like the Autumnal, mellow vibe of this card ~ well done, Connie!
I reckon it was money (and vouchers well spent!)

Gosh! That die was made for that stamp, wasn't it? I cherish those AI square images with the writing around them. Your card is lovely! And a great deal, too! I thought I'd be safe from buying more now that I'm gone from DRU - but the other team I'm on is now carrying a full line of TONICS LOL - and I REALLY wanted those! Too funny, isn't it? so, here comes my credit card and the 40% off! LOL

thanks for sharing your lovely card, Connie! xo

Hi Connie, This is a beautiful card and I love the saying around the edge.
All the elements you add are so charming. I love the lattice work with the fall leaves. The cottage design in the center is so pretty.
I just have to pin this one too. Thanks for sharing your talents.
Have a Happy October!! xo

I like the coloring of the leaves and the swirls on the frame. You are a true card maker who knows what she needs when she sees it. Awesome card.

But, ohhhhh, it's so beautiful, Connie! I wouldn't be able to resist, either. You know I'm clearing out and cutting back, but kept all my dies, of course. I did go shopping the other day, but only got a few small things I can put away easily or use up. Some dies, glitter, and Nuvo (first time to try those). LOVE the color you added to the die cut, and you picked the perfect image to go with it!

Hi Connie, What a pretty card, so much detail. It must have taken a while to complete. There is a lot of time and love that goes into handmade cards. Very special :)
