Our Peanut

We lost our little Peanut yesterday morning, she had slowly gone down hill over the last couple of days and took her into the vet and they would have to do a lot of aggressive treatment and just listening to all that she would have to go through and there was no guarantee, we made the very hard decision to let her go. I will miss my little companion, we had 16 years with her, and she is our last furbaby to leave us, my hubby said he likes to think of them all together now playing like they use to as puppy and kitties free from all their pain and problems that they had when they got older :)

It is something how they make their way into your heart.  The house is so quite now with them all gone.  It almost feels like when our daughter went away to college, just an empty feeling in the house.

Connie, I am sorry for your loss. Peanut looks adorable; such a cutie. She spent 16 glorious years with you; that's a long time. Our dogs are elderly too and I know we're going to have to make that decision soon. I am a firm believer that all our fur babies and relatives are in a happy place, playing together and taking care of each other. I know your heart aches terribly now and that takes a long time to heal. You gave Peanut 16 wonderful years and she loved you so much for that.

Oh, Connie - I'm hear your sorrow, and feel your sense of loss. Those of us who treasure our fur babies, and are grateful for the joy and richness they added to our lives, are devastated when choices like yours have to be made. They trust us, however, to do what is in their best interest. But knowing that, does not make the decisions and choices any less painful. Thank you for giving Peanut such a beautiful life - one she would never have known otherwise, and for taking such great care of her dear self. I know she gave back just as much devotion to you. Thanks for letting us know - my heart is with you, Connie. hugs, de

Oh, Connie, I'm so sorry. You knew this was coming, but it's no easier because of that. You made a difficult decision with Peanut's own comfort at heart, and now I can imagine the quiet emptiness in your home. Do keep in mind what your husband said about all your furbabies together and happy. They were all lucky to have you, the best a dog could ever hope for in their too short lives. My heart is with you.

Connie,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your little fur baby!! We went through it a few years ago and it was so traumatic for us that I vowed to never have another dog. Our last 2 dogs only lasted 10 years each so you were lucky that you had her for 16 years.
With Joe being retired, we are thinking of getting another dog but we won't start looking until the Spring.....
Thanks so much for visiting and my heart goes out to you and your family during this time of loss.....
Hugs,
Deb

Dearest Connie, I know just how it aches...I only hope that as the days go by you can hang on to the fact that she had a wonderful time with you and your hubby and was a most loved little doggie.
They enrich our lives SO much, and I am sure the relationship that you treasured with her is a part of God's goodness. Separation is temporary in my opinion.
Very big hugs,
Alex xxx
