Michigan 4th of July trip

I figured since July is quickly coming to a close I need to post some pictures from our trip, I will do it in parts since once again I have quite a few I wanted to share.

The first evening getting into Michigan we stopped at Grand Haven State park which is right on Lake Michigan, we wanted to see the sunset over the water.

I liked this shot of the waves coming on shore and the spray they left.

Sunset with the lighthouse

Next morning on the 4th we headed to Mackinaw City, we went to a different area we hadn't gone to before to get a different view of the Mackinac bridge. This bridge is what links the upper and lower parts of Michigan together.

It was a beautiful day to hang out by the water.
In the evening we didn't have to walk far at all to see the fireworks, the hotel we were staying at is right on the beach and the fireworks were fired off right on the peer next to the hotel, it is the quickest we ever got back from seeing fireworks :)

The following pictures of the fireworks were taken by my hubby, I didn't want to take pictures I just wanted to sit back and enjoy the show :)

I am a little late posting today it was another one of those long days that there was always something happening.  Last big thing was our air conditioner and thankfully that has been working ok.  Now the oven has stopped heating up.  Today we went out and found a new ignition, hoping that will be what is wrong with it, hubby is going to install it tomorrow hopefully.  Let's hope that is all that decides not to work around here, we don't need anything else.

Hope your week is off to a good start,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Connie

Lots of Light in a variety of scenarios here, Connie! You both take such awesome photos! My favorite is the waves lapping the shore line. Every little droplet shows! hugs, de

What absolutely gorgeous photos, Connie, and I always love seeing a beautiful sunset! This was a particularly stunning one with the lighthouse in the background! Oh, the beauty of God's creations...just a hint of heaven! I'm with you about just enjoying the fireworks. I so love them every year and feel so blessed that we can celebrate! I hope you get the oven going again and that nothing else decides to break. Oh, the joys of owning a house! Hugs and love, sweet friend! xoxo

What beautiful views you saw and your pictures are fantastic. Looks like it was quite the display of fireworks. I hope that your oven will be as good as new for you and that you have no more problems with things. I love it when husbands can help put things back to working order.

Your photos are beautiful. The waves really resonate with me. I love the water so much, and love going to the beach. I've been across that bridge one many years ago. I'll have to share photos of my trip out east when I'm back. We're heading out on August 17 to 31st.

Sorry you having things breaking down on you. Not fun.

Wow, beautiful pictures! Those lakes are completely amazing. Just like our ocean, only calmer and warmer. I know it can get quite stormy there, though. Your hubby's fireworks shots are amazing. You always make me want to go somewhere. Now the oven? I hope that's the last of it, knock on wood.
