2 for 2

Recently in my card making group they were discussing getting rid of punches because they just don't use them anymore, OH MY!! I still use my punches and actually really love a few of them still, I had made this card just before they were talking about it and thought I just made a card using two punches and two dies.  Is there something from your old tools or supplies that you just don't use anymore and want to get rid of them.

Tim Holtz-- Vintage shabby paper
K&co. -- Blue Awning paper
Martha Stewart -- Border punches
Spellbinders -- Majestic Labels one
Inkadinkado -- Garden Greetings

We are getting just enough rain so that I don't have to water my peppers, that sure has been nice, but I hope it gets it all out of it's system before the Eclipse, I am hoping for a nice clear day, we are right in it's path so we are going to see total eclipse, so excited!

Thanks so much for taking out the time to stop by today,

Connie

This is beautiful Connie! I have a LOT of stuff I don't use much anymore but I'm NOT GETTING RID OF IT!! LOL ... call me a hoarder if you must! But I just know as soon as I would get rid of it I would be looking to use it ... so it's staying right where it is (for now anyways).
Hope you have those special glasses for the eclipse! How exciting for you! Is hubby taking photos? He's SO GOOD at getting those SPECIAL shots.

Such a pretty card, reminds me of gardening! I do use my dies more than my punches and my Cameo more than my punches too. I purged my craft room last Fall and gave away a ton of them to the Crafty Gal who holds classes at my Mom's place, she loooooooved them! Yes, wear the correct glasses if you plan on looking up!

Whaaaaaat! Getting rid of punches just because they are punches? One of the saddest days was when MS discontinued making pretty border punches, and then when she stopped altogether! I especially enjoy combining my punches (as you've done here) or combining them with border die cuts. LOVE these! Neither of these punches are in my stash - how did I miss them? They are beautiful! So is your die cut for the stamped image. GORGEOUS. Love your pretty card, Connie! hugs, de

My husband is very excited about the eclipse and is planning on driving to SC if the weather agrees. I LOVE my punches. I tend to use them more than my dies. LOVE the denim touch you added!

Beautiful card, Connie! Yes, I still use punches! I'm not a craft hoarder though, and I try to be very careful in my purchases to get only things I know I will use - preferably over and over again! I do weed things out from time to time, usually stuff that I haven't used in a long time. I have friends (just getting started in paper-crafting) who enjoy my cast offs so they don't go to waste, just change hands! :)

Beautiful card, I love the punches you've used. I have quite a few, which haven't been used in a while, but I won't part with them!

Those are the prettiest punches you used! I would have to keep those, too. Love your card, Connie. The Garden Greetings set is so pretty! I had to look it up because you've intrigued me with your use of it. I had to let some of my punches go when I purged as I had way too many of them for my small space. Still have quite a few, though, and use them a lot. We bought the eclipse glasses so we can go up on the corner and watch it. Being on the coast there's a good chance we could have morning fog or cloud cover, but hoping to see it. I watched the last one through a box with a pin hole when I was a kid. Did you get to see that one?
