Potted Flowers

I have been on Vacation for over a week, hubby and I went out to the west, mainly Colorado and New Mexico, but drove through Missouri and Kansas too.  It is good to be home, there never is much relaxing on our trips.  I haven't had a chance to go through pictures but I may be sharing them in the future, but it will take some time going through the many I took.  I did pretty good at visiting blogs at the beginning of our trip so I wouldn't be too far behind but toward the end when we finally got to a hotel I just needed to rest and not use my mind for anything, so I will hopefully catch up soon on all your blogs :)

Every now and then I like to send cards to those people that are pretty regular at coming to my blog and I have been blessed with a few great cards from Gina, so it is very fitting that she was next on my list to send a card too :)

I decided to send her a potted plant mixture, in a golden pot of course :)

I tried to go with more Autumn colors since that is what we are leading up to.  The bigger flowers were made by spreading Apricot Inka gold onto mixed media, cotton rag paper, then cutting out the flowers with dies and molding them using my foam mat and stylus and then further using tweezers to give them a big more shape.  The smaller flowers were from a rolled flower die.  Added a pretty frame, stamped a tag, some pearls for embellishing.

Spellbinders -- Flower pots, Back to basics tags and Majestic Labels 25 dies
Heartfelt Creation -- Carnation die (large flowers)
Tim Holtz -- Tiny tattered florals
DCWV -- Metallic stack
Queen &co. -- Chocolate Delight pearls
Purple flower gems
RS Tapestry -- Trellis vine stamp on tag
Hampton Art -- Sentiment stamp
Inka Gold -- Apricot for large flowers

Wishing you a wonderful week ahead and to all those that are in Hurricane Irma's path, I have been praying for your safety, hope all will be well soon!

Thanks so much for stopping by to all of you that are so sweet to let me know you have,

Connie

Very pretty! The apricot inka gold is gorgeous! Great way to use it. The color looks good with purple too, not sure I would have thought of that.

Glad you had a good trip!

What a lovely card you made. You shaped the flowers beautifully. I expect that that took a while. This card is certainly going to be appreciated. You're so thoughtful.

Connie, about the stamping website, I closed that blog temporarily. The death of my dear Little Bear weighs heavy on me. I am hoping to open it again soon. xx

Fantastically gorgeous, Connie! Beautiful sheen on those big flowers and nice color combo you used. Beautifully framed and cute tag. Love this! There is so much to see on your travels I don't know how you could possibly keep up with blogs. I've never managed to stay connected when we're traveling and I know I'll be getting hopelessly behind when we get on the road. I'll look forward to pictures when you sort them out. Hugs!
