Sunflowers / Colorado

When we were on Vacation out in Colorado I picked up a Papercraft Essentials magazine that had a few sunflower stamps in it along with some papers, and I used those for my card today.

In this stamp set the pumpkin seeds, the seed packet, sentiment and center flower are all separate stamps, so you can decorate the packet anyway you would like, I colored it with markers and added some more burlap decorations to frame it, along with some pearls and Washi tape.

Papercraft Essentials magazine -- Sunflower dreams stamp set and paper, colored w/markers
Burlap stickers
Queen & co. - Yellow sunshine pearls
Washi tape

Sharing a few more pictures the first too taken around Red Mountain area in Colorado, just couldn't get over the color of the water due to all the minerals in the area.

The last two are from Pinkerton Hot springs that are on the San Juan Skyway

The colors in the rock where so cool in person, I couldn't quite capture it well in the pictures.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

Your excursion photos are BEYOND GORGEOUS! No one creates like Mother Nature, do they? Lovely woody elements, the rock formations are full of unexpected colorfulness, and the creek with the red rock is beautiful! Your darling happy birthday card with the burlap elements is wonderful! Thank you, Connie! hugs, de

Connie, I've never been to Colorado. Your pictures are so pretty. My husband has been there and tells me it is one of his favorite states. Love your sweet sunflower card. The touches of extra texture add to its beauty. ♥

Hi Connie!
Just passing through, catching up on email and noticed you've been posting. I enjoyed seeing your cards and your gorgeous pictures of CO. I haven't been to those areas. How did you manage to capture that sunset? I take sunset pictures but they rarely turn out.

What a cute card! You find the best magazines with all these goodies in them. I see them at Joann's but never sure if I want to buy the whole magazine. Going there today, in fact, after lunch with a friend. Just hoping to find some sparkle watercolor pens in colors I don't have, but we'll see what else I come home with. I'm so glad you shared more of your Colorado photos, too. Such beautiful country with all those colors and unusual sights. We're losing our good weather, but hope to take the trailer out next week, rain or shine. Learned of a place only about an hour away that's dog friendly. No leashes required. Wally and LuLu will love it!
