Sympathy

My friend lost her husband a couple weeks ago, I took it hard, I don't know if they remind myself of my hubby and I and our relationship, or if it was also he was a little younger than we are, but I just came up blank on what to do for a sympathy card for her when I remembered a week or so before his passing Darlene posted this card and she shared a link of what gave her inspiration for her card.  I went with that and was so happy that we can be an inspiration to each other when we need a card and just come up blank.

Inking of acrylic block spritzing with water and stamping onto cardstock
Distress inks -- Spun Sugar, Shabby shutters and weathered wood
Inkadinkado -- Garden Delight stamp set
Stampendous -- Sincere Sentiment stamp

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Connie

I'm so sorry for your loss but glad you were able to find inspiration in my work to create this beautiful card that I'm sure brought comfort to your friend. I seem to have SEVERAL friends right now that are dealing with poor health and/or death and it's so heart breaking and scary! Like you ... it really hits hard because it is their husbands and I truly don't know what I would do without my dear Mark. I nearly lost him 8 years ago to the 'C monster' and thank God everyday for having him by my side. Thanks for the shout out my friend! God Love Ya!

Oh, Connie, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's loss, which is your loss as well. I think about these things, too, and have to make myself stop. All I can do is be as prepared and independent as possible. You're never ready for such a life changing event. You made a beautiful card for her. It's true how we constantly inspire each other.

Agree Connie! I love all the inspiration I find among stampers! I call it research and development! Glad you got it made, I'm sure they will treasure it! I need to make some sympathy too. I'm such a procrastinator!
