Natural Bridge/ For me

Today I thought I would share some pictures from our trip to Kentucky we took back in late October.  We stayed at the Natural Bridge State Resort Park in the Daniel Boone National Forest. We booked a cabin on the side of a hill, yes we had many stairs to climb to get to our cabin but it was nice!

Today I will share the trail going up to the Natural bridge arch.  Now they say this trail we picked was the easiest of the trails, they didn't say it was easy, just the easiest one of the trails, let's just say it was quite a challenge to me but was so worth it when we go to the top of the mountain, when you get back down to the bottom and look up and think wow I climbed that, it feels pretty good.  The only way you can view the arch is going up the trail.

The first two pictures were the start of the trail, and the rest is the area at the arch, it was hard deciding which pictures to post so that is why there are so many.

First view of the Arch below, I got a bit of my hubby in the picture

Above, looking straight up at the arch from under it.

My hubby walked up this narrow path to see the view from the top, I was just too tired to climb anymore and wasn't thrilled about the tight squeeze either.

Next we headed back down, I will see if there is any worth sharing and will post them later if there is :)

The For me, in my post title,  is I never posted the card my hubby made for our Anniversary the end of October either, so I thought I would share that today since this is the trip we took to celebrate our anniversary.

The paper he chose had this big glitter sun on it, so he cut it down and added the bird from Tim Holtz release, he loves all of Tim's birds and always buys his dies, and since I am the only one who get's cards from him, guess what goes on my cards :)

Hope you enjoyed a nice weekend, we couldn't ask for nicer weather for this time of year :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!

Connie

Happy Anniversary, Connie! WOW your husband made you a card! My husband doesn't make me any.... But he does do dishes! ♥

Love all your pictures. Those stairs look a bit scary to me. I'm a klutz so I'd have to go very slowly!

Happy Belated Anniversary, my friend! How thoughtful that hubby went out of his way to create something for you! As for your photos from Kentucky's national forest - sigh - so gorgeous - there are no words, are there? It reminds me of a similar area in Tennessee we hiked some 20 years ago. All the "bridges" and "stairways" and paths from humans and other critters - the beautiful colors, all the various plant life - truly like magic because there is no way Man could replicate it! Thanks for sharing, Connie! hugs, de

Oh, Connie, what an amazing trip and gorgeous photos of the beauty of the Natural Bridge. God is so amazing, and I am so glad you had such a beautiful anniversary trip! Belated anniversary wishes, sweet Connie (and Greg)! You are both so dear, and it's a joy to read how you love being together and enjoying similar things. And what a beautiful card Greg made for you. I love the paper, and what a beautiful bird (and probably an eagle). May God continue to bless you and your marriage, precious friend! Warm hugs and love! xoxo

Looks like a lovely little get-away, Connie! The scenery is spectacular - especially that amazing rock arch. Those stairs do look like they could tire a person out, though! How sweet of your Hubby to make you a card. A Happy Belated Anniversary to you! Hugs xo Karen
