Great outdoors

Our youth pastor at church is also from Michigan, so for his card I decided to go with a scene that could be from our home state :)  I used distress inks to sponge the background and added some wood paper to make it look even more rustic. Since it was hand delivered I didn't have to worry about bulk so I added the button and twine also.

Gina K - Life is good stamp set, colored w/markers
Distress inks - tumbled glass and mermaid lagoon for background
Crate paper - DIY shop paper
Photo corners
Button
Twine

We managed to get more snow yesterday than we have had all year, it was a little over an inch and it was very thick coming down, wind was blowing, big huge flakes, it started just as we were leaving church so we were able to come home and enjoy it coming down. We actually still have some left.  Wishing all those on the east coast all the best as I hear you will be going through another storm.

Thanks so much for stopping by today,

Connie

Very nice card. I love how you created a reflection of the trees; the wood plank background. Everything is just perfect. A little bit of snow can be so pretty. Hope you enjoyed it. I am with you about the people on the East Coast; they need a break...prayers out to all of them.

Nicely done Connie and I'm sure will be greatly appreciated! As far as the weather, they are saying we will see more snow tonight & tomorrow but hopefully not too much where we are in Akron, OH. Prayers go out to those further north & east ... this is their 3rd storm in 2 weeks ... eeks! I think we are all ready for SPRING!!! I know I am! LOL Hugs!

Wait! You are missing something! Where are the figures of Connie and her hubby trekking in the wilderness and taking photos? It's a gorgeously designed card, and I love the crisp sky reflected in the cold lake and those bright ever green trees! Beautifully done, Connie! xx

It’s a nice scene and I do like the sentiment that goes along with it. I love it when I can hand deliver and then make a bulky card! Did he realize it was a Michigan theme? I’m glad that you got to stay inside and enjoy the snow. I think we might get a little bit tonight, but don’t think it will affect school or work. Have a good day.

You are so creative Connie who would’ve thought of a beautiful scene with a great reflection! It’s always nice when you hand-deliver a card, as you can make it as chunky as you want. People who know card makers and scrapbookers we love chunky!

We got more snow today, maybe a couple of inches. It was the same here, big white heavy flakes. I couldn’t even gather up the enthusiasm to go outside and take pictures!

A beautiful outdoor scene, and like one of your photographs with those photo corners! Love the wood grain paper, as well as the button and twine. Very masculine, but one that I love just as much as any feminine card. Enjoy that little bit of snow. It's nice as long as it's not too much. 74 degrees here yesterday, rain again today.
