Spring scene

I had a little more trouble with this card.  I bought some new colored pencils from a sale that Spectrum noir was having, I think they were trying to get rid of these pencils to replace some nicer ones they just came out with, anyway I thought I would try them out on a stamped image a friend gave me, and I wasn't totally thrilled with my results so I need more practice with my pencils but I needed to get this out to my 13 year old great niece for her birthday. I decided to add a few diecuts to the scene after I finished coloring.

Stamped image from friend, colored with pencils
Sassafras - Mix and mend papers
Impression Obsession - Rectangle 6 in 1 frames and Rabbit dies
Poppystamps - Cheery cardinals
Butterfly die
Liquid pearls - Chestnut (butterfly)
Nuvo crystal drops - Autumn red ( flowers)

I am entering this in the following challenges:
House that stamps built blog -- All Creatures, great and small
Sisterhood of Crafters blog -- Bunny Rabbits

My hubby took off work yesterday and we went out to a State park in Southern Illinois, it was beautiful weather, sunny and warm, one of the trails was a little challenging for me but hubby got me through.  I will share if any of them look good, I haven't had a chance to look.  We picked the right day to go, today is quite windy but the sun is shining and it is warm, oh could it be possible spring has arrived, I sure hope so.  Hope it comes very soon to all in the north too!

Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy day to stop by and say Hi,

Connie

What a darling little scene this is! It would be fun to send a card stamped and not colored so the recipient could color it too. What a delightful image and sweet card!

What a cute, cute woodland image! Your little bunny is perfect for it. Pencils... I'm still not sure about them. Sometimes I like, sometimes not. It would be lovely to think spring has arrived! Sunshine is supposed to be here for maybe a week. We had the trailer out at the beach yesterday, just testing the brakes and working out the winter kinks. I can't wait for our first road trip of the season!

What a cute scene card. The bunny is a lovely touch. I just got some bunnies from last month's win at I.O. and am going to use it today. Your colouring looks good from my end. It sounds like you weren't happy. Have a nice weekend.

This is really a sweet scene. It's odd, I have colored pencils but can't use them right or well, so I don't lol I think you have done a great job! It's cute!
