Bubbles

This next technique was a little messy but fun, and you never new how it was going to turn out, I was going for a sunset look but ended up going in a totally different direction with the card I made.  I used 3 different colors of paint, I didn't do any measuring just added my paint, then some water and dish washing soap, mixed them and starting blowing with a straw, now this is a bit messy so you want to have some papers down when you are doing this but since there was soap in the mix I think clean up went quit quickly :)

Heidi shares HERE how she went about doing hers.  I added a bit more bubbles and more colors on mine.

Americana acrylic paints - Blueberry, Golden straw and Georgia clay
Our Daily Bread designs - Sisters stamp
Spellbinders- A2 Devine Eloquence die
American crafts - Ric rac
Martha Stewart - tag punch
Stamps of life - minis4circles sentiment stamp

Here are the other backgrounds I made.

Thanks for stopping by today :)

Oh, you wouldn't believe it but I have a long honeymoon story about painting with that straw method . . . it was followed by us washing the walls of our hotel room before we went to bed that night. No telling what would have happen if we would have let it dry. On top of that we had a friend give us a bottle of champagne. We had it in the bathroom sink on ice and in the middle of the night it exploded, so we washed the walls of the bathroom . . . When ever people ask us how to spent or honeymoon we tell people we sent it washing walls in Seattle, LOL.

How darling! Thanks for sharing, Connie! One of my friends recently did this technique but with food coloring! (the challenge was to use things in the kitchen). Seems like the acrylic paints would make a much better medium! Your little girls are sweet - reminds me of my sister when we were little and blew bubbles on the back porch. Kept us happy for a good hour! Your card is lovely! hugs, de

I do still think this is the most darling image of children. You can imagine all kinds of stories on how they got mixed up in the bubbles! Your results are all great. Thanks for linking to my blog!

This is beautiful and what a fun technique! I'll be pinning this for later reference. What fun it must be to see how each panel comes out of the bubbly mix. Thanks for the fun inspiration Connie. Your card is so sweet!

gorgeous...the results are fabulous!! i wonder if you would have enjoyed this more if you did it outside, then you would not have to worry about the mess!! and ric-rac, you rarely see that any more!!!

the silhouettes are perfect for this card, allowing the paper to be the star of the show!!

Wowza, talk about gorgeous backgrounds. Bam, you nailed it. I love how you mixed things up by doing three paint bubbles on one card. How unique and clever.
