Wildflower sympathy

Our niece's on my husbands side of the family had both lost their last Grandparent, their Grandpa and these are the cards I made for them.  I had just recently bought the Quick Cards Magazine and in this issue it came with both a stamp set and border embossing folder that I thought would work well for sympathy cards.

First one I embossed my border, scored an area above that I could add the sentiment and ran my ink pad over the embossed area to highlight it.

Wildflower border Embossing folder(Quick cards Magazine)
Taylored Expression -- Care & Comfort II sentiment stamp
Martha Stewart -- Butterfly punch
Gem

Sally Mountain -- Wild Flower stamp set (Quick cards Magazine)
Hero Arts -- Everyday sayings stamp set
Queen & co. -- Chocolate Delight pearls

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop in today, and thanks so much for leaving your comments, I so appreciate it!

  1. Connie, these are both perfect for sympathy cards. I never have that good of luck coloring the embossing like you did. Your's is neat and perfect. Beautiful cards for such a sad occasion.

  4. Oh, Connie, two absolutely beautiful cards. Perfect for sympathy. I really love the neutrals. Your second card is so pretty with the image stamped on the subtly patterned designer paper. I might have to start buying the Quick Cards magazine! You've already influenced me to buy the Seraphine Laurel. What's next?

  6. Both cards are perfect for the occasion. I thought the first one was a grass die cut, not inked embossing, it adds a lovely touch, and you have done it so well.
