Open to whatever

When I saw this pocket pad of images at the stamp store over in Missouri I had to pick it up because it had great images I could use for either girl or guy cards. This one reminded me of something Tim would have, it had great distress look to it.

  • Hunkydory - Garden Visitors Pocket pad (moths)
  • DCWV - The Natural paper
  • Tim Holtz - Metallic Sticker Book  and Kraft core Metallic collection (for matting)

I liked the shine in the paper and matting to go with the image.

Thanks for stopping by today,

Connie

Oh, I love it, Connie! The colors and papers are absolutely beautiful, and those moths... WOW! The earthy nature theme is exceptionally appealing to me, and the gold adds a touch of elegance.

We once visited an exhibition of butterflies and beetles. At first glance, it reminded me of them, because most of them were presented in frames.

That little pocket pad of images looks like a fantastic find, so versatile for either a masculine or feminine card, isn't it? The moth image has a wonderful, distressed feel, very Tim Holtz. The way the metallic stickers and kraft core matting pick up the shine in the paper is a brilliant touch, making the card look so rich.

The distressed texture and earthy tones give this card such a grounded, masculine elegance, and the moth imagery feels both nostalgic and quietly powerful. I love how the metallic matting adds just the right amount of shine without overpowering the natural vibe—it’s a beautiful balance. This design feels like it could tell a story, maybe tucked inside an old field journal or pinned in a collector’s cabinet.
