Birthday wishes

I made this one for my teenage great niece. My sister said when she went over to her house her son asked what is that on the front, my sister said that is like the view master picture slides, the family thought it was a movie reel. When I first saw them too I thought view master, I guess it depends on when you grew up and if you ever played with a view master, LOL!  Hope she liked it either way :)

  • Tim Holtz - Vault Picture show die set
  • Papertrey ink - Hodge Podge paper
  • Gina K - Sentiment stamp
  • Park Lane - Text stamps (splotches)
  • Winter time - Mini decorative & Art Journals (butterfly stamp)
  • Flower Gem
  • Scrap papers for reel

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

It does remind me of a view master and that gave me the best giggle of nostalgia! I love how it turned out though. So pretty and unique :)

I have always called it a 'view master' as well. Love how you added the pretty floral prints to the windows of it! And the filmstrip is a great accent too, love those dies! Pretty card, I'm sure she loved it!

My first thought was 'view master'. They were pretty cool in our day, but now technology has passed them up. I suppose it could be a movie reel... At any rate, you've given your card a feminine and pretty touch with the papers, the sweet sentiment, and the cute little flower gem in the center. Gee, I have several of those I was recently looking at and thinking I need to use them. Very cute card, Connie!

Such a playful and nostalgic design—it's like flipping through childhood memories with a fresh twist! The use of patterned scraps in the reel windows adds so much charm, and that little flower gem in the center pulls everything together beautifully. I love how you blended retro and feminine touches into one thoughtful card—it’s sure to be a hit with your great niece.

My first thought was view master (smile). Love how you created it with the little slides being floral pieces!
