Magnolia Wall hanging

I just love these flowers and I had to make something for me to enjoy with them.  I don't have a tree of my own but there are a few not to far that I drive past all the time in the spring so I can enjoy them that way. I decided to make something I could hang and as I was putting away all my summer decorations to get ready for fall I wondered if I had ever posted it, and when I found a piece of paper with all the info I realized I never did share it so here we are in Autumn enjoying some spring goodies :)

It hangs from a shelf my hubby made me, I don't recall where I found the hanger but it works great for those things I want to display, that doesn't have one of their own. I used my branch die to add the little buds too or they would just be floating in air.

  • Memory Box - Magonalia Blooming Bud, Magnolia Bud Trio and Woodland Branch die
  • Spellbinders - Grand Labels One dies (Base Layers)
  • DCWV - The Primrose paper
  • Martha Stewart - Butterfly Punch
  • Paper Studio - Gems

A side view to see the bit of dimension to it.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

  1. Oh Connie, I just love this!! The soft colors on the blue-ish background is so striking. These look like the magnolia tree we have in our yard. The buds start out pink and when they open the flowers are white. What a nice idea to made it into a piece of decor too. This is just lovely.

  2. Connie, this is absolutely lovely. I love how you’ve captured the beauty of magnolias even without having your own tree nearby.

  3. I love when the magnolias are in bloom here, too, but don't have one in my yard. Yours is pretty blooming on it's dainty hanger! How fun to have that little goody for something like this! Love the dimension and the tiny butterflies, all arranged on a dreamy background. I have these dies and should make a point of using them in the spring. Maybe I'll get through my NBUS by then, ha! Not likely.

  13. This is such a charming celebration of spring’s beauty, Connie. The way you’ve layered the magnolia blooms with those delicate buds and butterflies creates a sense of gentle movement, like a breeze through the branches. I love that it hangs from a shelf your husband made—what a sweet blend of personal and seasonal warmth. The soft colors against that dreamy background feel like a quiet moment captured in time. What a lovely way to keep spring close, even as autumn settles in.
