Daisy's

Ok so I know the coloring isn't really true to Daisy's but I wanted to color a little more than just white and so that's what I did.  This time I changed it up a bit and colored the image with my colored pencils and blended the colors with mineral spirits.

This ended up being a 5x7 inch card, but the image panel would fit on an A2 size card if you didn't want to go for a larger size card, this will be going to a friend at church so I will be hand delivering it.
Here is another view of  it!  I sponged some inks through the background die and shaded around the image also!

Stampendous -- Daisy Thanks, colored w/pencils
Taylored Expressions -- Designer mini tags die, Many minis occasions sentiment stamp
Spellbinders -- Labels 8 and Exquisite Labels 11 dies
Flower stickers
Distress inks -- peeled paint and scattered straw

Hope you have a wonderful weekend!!
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Connie

Hi, Connie! I love 5x7 cards, and basically, that's what I make. Sometimes it is a bit of a chore fitting the dies into A2 size cards. This one is lovely! The shading in your daisies' petal tips is beautiful! I love that you could keep the green in the lines of the stems, LOL - THAT I would never be able to do LOL Your background die cut is very dainty and delicate - a perfect accompaniment for the daisies! Beautiful card! hugs, de

I actually like Black Eyed Susans better than daisies, so the coloring on this card works great for me. Love the centers and how you made them look so dimensional. Makes me want to take out my colored pencils and try mineral spirits with them.

Wow, lovely card, Connie, the colours work, here is Oz we have all sorts of coloured daisies, they're commonly called African Daisies and I have a gorgeous burgundy and gold Daisy, so there you are, yours are really grand! Love the elements to complement it too,
Thanks so much for the inspiration,

Gorgeous card card Connie and love the colours you have chosen. 7" x 5"cards are very popular here in the UK and one of my favourites to make along with 6" square!

It's fun to get those pencils out now and then, and you did a beautiful job with yours! Your daisies look like Black Eyed Susans, so they seem realistic to me. Also there is such a thing as "bold painted daisies" and they can be lots of different bright colors. So go for it! I just love how this turned out with the scrolly background die. Pretty!
