Friends

I was gifted this tag, that already had the sentiment on it, so I just added a stamped bird, gems and flowers to it. The green flowers have been shaped and the white flower was from a bunch of flowers I bought at Michaels in the floral section.  I found some papers that I thought worked well with it too, this is one of those cards that just came together so nicely, love it when that happens :)

Inkadinkado -- Birds Galore stamp set
Basic Grey Picadilly paper
Spellbinders -- Labels 8 die
Queen &co. -- Baby blue gems
Clear gems
Flower punches
White fabric flower
Stickles -- Yellow ( flower centers)

We went out and bought a new raised garden yesterday, the one I have had rotted a bit too much, this time we bought the composite ones that are made out of plastics, hubby is hoping it last for a few more years than the wood :)  We also bought a couple ones that are to go on your patio or deck and by the instructions is suppose to water themselves, he hasn't put them together yet, so not sure how it works but we are hopeful that it will be nice for those times we go away for a few days.

Getting excited about getting the garden up and going, just hoping my back heals quick enough for me to do all that bending over, have you started getting things around for your gardening this year?

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today!!

Connie

Lovely card. The tag and stamping go really perfectly with the background paper.

I did start weeding in the front flower garden yesterday. I would like to find a tool that will help with the stubborn deeply rooted weeds. Weeding those seems like a losing battle. Good luck with your new gardens!

So pretty Connie! I think I have this bird too... so many stamps, not enough time to use them all! TFS!

What a pretty card, Connie! I think I have that same stamp set - your card makes me want to get it out and ink it up again!
I'd love for you to link this up to the Cropstop Challenge where anything goes as long as you use a few products from companies they carry in the store (you did!).

Connie, we had some really great raised beds in NJ. We recently bought a 3 tiered planter box and a table like planter for the brick patio. We've planted more strawberries, blackberries, and blueberry bushes. I'll post pics soon. Be careful with your back! {{HUGS}}

PS love all your card elements. you got the colors coordinating spot on!

Hi Connie, another beautiful card. I received some handcrafted ones recently...I really need to learn how to do this. I hope your back heals in time for gardening. I've been dealing with issues close to a year now and I'm really concerned about the bending over. I have a little low sitting bench that I use and it definitely helps. Good luck on your gardening.

I love your re-purposed card, Connie! The colors are so pretty and spring-like. It's always exciting to plant that first garden of spring. I have been frustrated by the weather this year - so much rain and cool weather, but I have been enjoying my pots on the deck. Maybe this year you can get the hubs to do the gardening for you :) Sending hugs and Happy Easter wishes. xx Karen

Oooh, it did come together beautifully! Such pretty colors, and I love the bird. I have that set, as well, and have used it quite a lot. This bird is particularly beautiful. Good luck with your garden, Connie. I've bought some new flowers, but haven't have enough non-rainy days to get out and plant them.

This is such a great card, and in my favourite colour combination too. Your card is so spring-like which is what you are obviously having if you're in your gardens. Here in southern Ontario (Canada) it is light jacket weather today and on Monday it will be winter coat weather. Grrr.

Another lovely card Connie.

Your new raised garden sounds good, looking forward to hearing what you will be planting out.
But please take care of your back!

All the best Jan
