My Daughter and Son in law have made their move to North Carolina, and will be celebrating their anniversary soon.  I asked my hubby to give me some coloring lessons and this is the image I picked for him to teach me.  He would color one half and have me do the other half, I will let you see if you can tell the difference.

Quilt

I have been enjoying the hexagon quilt cards I have been seeing and found these hexagon stacklets dies from Taylored Expressions at my LSS so I decided to take the plunge and get them.  I made it back home in time to get this made for my sister in laws birthday.

Memory Box-- Parker upper Alphabet dies
SRM-- Sticker sentiment
papers are all small pieces I had in my stash drawer

I have been very busy trying to get things done since we got home last night and I feel like I have only put a dent into what I have to do.  Right now it is out to get the weeds taken care of and edging cut while my hubby mows.

Praying for all those effected by these awful tornado's going through.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

mother in law

My husband's mother passed away on 14th.  It has only been 4 1/2 months since my Dads passing and a month since my father in law had a major heart attack, just thought I would let you know why I have been absent lately.

The heart and flower on the ribbon is from K&co. they are from the Elegance dimensional stickers. Don't know if you can see it or not but they have sparkle on them too.

The paper is from Anna Griffin's Christmas pack but I thought it would work nicely for this too.

Ribbon is from Michaels.

I won't be posting tomorrow so I will wish all you Mothers out there and yes that means you all with Furbabies too :)  the most wonderful day.

It looks like a very busy week ahead, I haven't done a Mothers day card for my MIL yet, I guess I had better try to make some time to create too :)

ODBDSLC152

Wow 3 weeks in a row I have managed to do a challenge from Our Daily Bread designs. This week it is using piercing or real stitching on your card.  I opted to go for actual hand stitching using DMC floss using the back stitch, it is a bit time consuming so I did it while watching TV.  You can find out more of the details about the challenge HERE on their blog .

I was in need of a Birthday card for my girlfriend who lives here in town so this will be hand delivered :)

Sewing has been done around the edges.
Our Daily Bread designs- All Ocassion Sentiments stamp
Spellbinders- Long Classic Rectangle and Back to basics tags, heartfelt creations- Delicate Asters dies
Heartfelt Creations - Delicate Asters stamp
Melissa Frances- Tara paper (for background)
DCWV- Earth prints paper (behind the sentiment tag)
The Flowers were colored with pencils, the leaves with copic marker
Queen and Co. Twinkle Goosebumps on tag die
Martha Stewart - Butterfly punch
Forever in time - Pearls (center of butterfly)

We are once again having alot of rain, but I am thankful it isn't snow that alot of the country has gotten, but we are very cold in the 40's which is just crazy for this time of year down here.
Hope wherever you are you are having a great day no matter the weather.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and your sweet comments!
