Masculine Birthday

This one went to my Hubby's boss, he won't tell them how old he is, it took a few years to find out when his actual birthday really was, so I wrote on the inside Happy 25th birthday....again, cause he just says he is always 25.

Now I have colored this stamp in so many different ways but this time I used chalks to color it. I actually think I may like this way over markers.

Stampscapes -- Old Mill Lg. colored w/chalks
Spellbinders -- A2 matting basics A and labels trio dies
Hero Arts -- It's your day sentiment stamp
Pebbles-- Glitter candy dots

We are getting rain today I guess they say we need rain we are in a moderate drought since we didn't get much in the way of snow this year.

Thanks for the birthday wishes, last night we went out with the kids to celebrate my birthday and my daughter going into a Ph.D. program at Yale this fall.

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate you taking out the time to comment to let me know you did :)

Connie

This is really pretty Connie. I like it colored with chalks. The blue stream right down the middle really catches the eye.

Great job of coloring Connie ... I love Stampscapes for masculine cards! I'm sure he will LOVE it! Congrats to your daughter ... WOW that's BIG!! Have a fabulous weekend and stay dry! It's actually sunny here (at the moment) ... they are calling for 1-3" of snow today! WHAT ... crazy weather! I'm ready for full blown Springtime weather!

So glad you had a nice birthday. How exciting for your daughter too. You must be proud.

Your card does look lovely done with chaulks. What nice stamps. When I moved three times in four years I accidentally gave away my Stampscapes to Good Will. Grrr.

That's such a beautiful stamp and I love the chalks for a soft look. Again you remind me of my chalks. I have enjoyed them muchly over the years. Rain here today, too, but that's nothing new. Sun yesterday -- yay! I'm glad you had a nice birthday, Connie. Your daughter sounds like one amazing woman. How proud you must be!

Very pretty card! I've forgotten all about using chalk. Duh.... you always remind me to go play with my stamps and "stuff" I must get my things organized so I can better use my stuff, I've got it spread everywhere!

Wow, congrats to your daughter heading off to Yale! I love this card, the little mill reminds me of both the Kissing Bridge and the old mill at the VT Country Store!
