The challenge this week at Our daily bread was to have a nature scene with scripture/spiritual quote. You can find all the details about the challenge HERE .
I used the stamp set The Mighty Sea from Our daily bread designs.
The image was colored with pencils.
Spellbinders- A2 Matting Basics A and A2 Curved Borders One dies
I stamped the Rubber Stampede- Geometric Swirl Background stamp onto the card base before adding the top piece, then stamped the spiritual quote on top of it.
K&co.- Blue Awning paper
Hope you have a chance to play along with the challenge, you have until Sunday evening.
The grass is growing out of control with all the rain we are getting, we may have to mow twice a week for awhile, still trying to get all the weeding done in all the flower beds, so I can do some planting soon.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend,
Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your comments,
Connie

Cherry Blossoms
I thought this die would make for some pretty spring cards.
Sorry about the slanted picture, I didn't realize until I put it in Photoshop that it was slanted that much.
Spellbinders-- Cherry Blossom die, flowers have been shaped
Stickles-- Fruit punch, for flower centers
Cricut Bloom cartridge for the bird cage, DCWV mettalic papers
Recollections- wooden bird, colored with Distress stain in weathered wood
Martha Stewart border punch
My Father in law is back in the hospital, he had a mini stroke and he is in congestive heart failure, it is so hard to live so far away when our parents are going through such hard times. I went through that with both my parents and now my husband is going through it with his.
We had rain most of the day yesterday and this morning still, but hopefully we will see the sun sometime today.
Hope the sun is shining wherever you are,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and your sweet comments, they are much appreciated,
Connie

Last minute challenge here, Our Daily Bread's challenge this week was to use a scripture or Hymn, and I went with this scripture. The challenge ends tonight at 8. You can find out more about it HERE .
Our Daily Bread Designs-- Scripture Collection 1
Spellbinders-- Labels Eight, Decorative Labels eight, Heartfelt creations, delicate Asters dies
DCWV- Garden party and brights mat stacks
Stickles- Cinnamon in flower centers
McGill- Branch punch
Martha Stewart - leaf punch
The little flowers are the left overs after using the spellbinders fancy lattice die, I saved them to use as little flowers, I shaped them before adding them to the card
It is such a beautiful day today but after church and lunch I decided to take some time out and make a card, I think all that yard work yesterday did me in and there is so much more to do.
Hope you enjoyed your weekend,
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Connie

Update on my Father in law.... He had a massive heart attack, he had a quadruple heart attack 15 years ago and one of those is now blocked. He has recovered and is at home but he has a long road ahead so your continued prayers are much appreciated.
We have made it back home last night. I had this card all done but it needed to be put together, going to be a little late since her birthday is tomorrow and is out of state.
We had flooding while we were gone, we came home to cones in our front of our house and two other homes next to us, there was debris all the way up to our garage door, but it looks like it stopped before going into our garage thank goodness.
Had a scary moment this morning when reading the news about Boston since my daughter works in Cambridge and lives in one of the cities that they were saying was under lock down. Thank goodness I went to my phone and my daughter had allready written a text saying that she was safe at home. Praying that this will all be over very soon and that Boston can go back to normal.
Thank so much for your kind comments and prayers for my Father in law,
Connie

Keep Climbing
I used the Keep Climbing stamp set for image and verse, it is from Our Daily Bread, and has been colored with Distress and Copic Markers, background was first all sponged in with Distress inks. I also took a Gold marker and went around the image to give it a bit of a border.
Our Daily bread designs-- Keep climbing stamp set
Spellbinders-- Labels seven and curved rectangles
Tim Holtz -- Vintage Shabby paper
Vintage Photo distress inks all around the edges
Faux stitching in the corner
Twine from LSS
Button from flea market find
I hope this is uplifting for a gentleman at our church who is going through alot of pain and bad health.
I went to the Creating Keepsakes Convention yesterday and had a fun time shopping for new supplies, there was actually some stuff that I didn't find and it seemed to be smaller than past shows but hopefully you will be seeing some new stuff here soon, I have kids cards to finish up before I can get into making flowers and stuff :)
Spring has sprung here and I was hoping to get out in the yard and start getting work done out there but I have jury duty next week, so I guess we will see how that all goes.
Hope your enjoying a Lovely spring weekend wherever you are!
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and I do appreciate your comments,

So sweet
Adam Pescott-- You're so sweet stamp set, for image and sentiment, colored with copics and distress markers, trying to give the cat a bit of texture and it ended up looking like the chicken pox now that I see it on screen, well hopefully my great niece will think it looks like a spotted kitten :)
g.c.d.-- Funhouse papers
Spellbinders-- Peony, Big scalloped circles lg and Labels trio
Distress Stickles-- worn lipstick on flowers on sentiment tag
Ribbon from stash
We are finally having spring like temps, and lots of sunshine. I have been so busy with things at church, doctors appointments and trying to catch up around here, that I haven't had time to take Peanut for a walk so I think I will end this and get her out for a nice walk.
Hope you all enjoy your day and hope you have sunshine wherever you are!

Happy Spring
Well it may not feel like spring yet but they are telling us that here in Southern Illinois we should be feeling it by the end of the week, let's just hope it stays this time :)
I am hoping this gives the person receiving it the hopes for spring to come soon!
The flowers are from the Cricut Bloom cartridge, I added a bit of scoring to the leaves and did some shading with my inks on the flowers and leaves and pot.
Clear gems were added to the corners and flowers
Spellbinders-- A2 matting basics A and Fancy Lattice dies
Impression Obseesion-- Stamped sentiment
