Christmas 2025

Starting the Christmas cards for this year, the challenge in my stamp group was to use a tag on a card and I remembered the paper pack that I had bought from Michaels just before Christmas had a page of tags so I went with using those.  I also used the tag dies from the Anna Griffin advent calendar last year to do a double tag on most of the cards.

  • Recollections - Holiday Pines 6x6 paper, tags and paper, Christmas sticker book for sentiment and tree image
  • Anna Griffin - Advent calendar tag die
  • Crafter's companion - Holly and Ivy die
  • Star Brad

  • Recollections - Holiday Pines 6x6 paper, tags and paper, Christmas sticker book for tree image

  • On this card above I used a stamp and dies set from Michaels too
    • Recollections - Holiday Pines 6x6 paper, tags and paper, Christmas sticker book for sentiment
    • Recollections - Trees stamp and dies set
    • Poppystamps - Dancing snowflake  Tile die
    • White brad

    • Recollections - Holiday Pines 6x6 paper, tags and paper, Christmas sticker book for sentiment
    • Crafter's Companion - Mistletoe and Pine edge die
    • Anna Griffin- Advent calendar tag die
    • Star Brad

    • Recollections - Holiday Pines 6x6 paper, tags and paper, Christmas sticker book for sentiment
    • Anna Griffin- Advent calendar tag die
    • Rectangle scallop die
    • Star brad
On this last card you can see that the top tag can be moved on these to show what I put on the base tag, I didn't take picture of them all.

    • Recollections - Holiday Pines 6x6 paper, tags and paper
    • Anna Griffin- Advent calendar tag die
    • Star brad

The Anna Griffin tag dies also came with different shaped dies too that you can add to your tags and this is one of them.

There is my first 6 cards of the year.

Hope you have a good week,

    Picture show

When I saw this die set from Tim's Vault collection I thought it was so neat, I had to get it and give it a go.  I went with a masculine theme for my nephew's card.  I cut the inner pieces of the picture slide from scraps of papers and added them in. Inside the film strip I stamped an image and added a touch of color to the leaves.

    • Tim Holtz - Vault Picture show dies
    • Wintertime - Collection of Old Paper, Vol.2
    • 49 and Market - Vintage Artistry - Autumn stamp, added inks to the leaves
    • Tim Holtz - Metallic Sticker book sentiment

    Simple

I needed a sympathy card and was trying to figure out what I wanted to use and then I remembered seeing the Simply Clean & Simple Challenge the optional theme is something new, and I have some stamps that I bought from the dollar store that I have not used yet, and this is from one of those sets.

I did some scoring around the base of the card for a little framing. Stamped the leaf stamp directly onto the die cut and then stamped the flowers separately and fussy cut them and added them to the die cut frame.

    • Crafter's Square - Stamps, colored w/markers and fussy cut
    • Lawn Fawn - Fancy Scalloped Rectangle die
    • Scoring around the card base
    • The Greetery - Thinking of you stamp set

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by, I am a little behind on blogs again but will try to catch up soon.

    Thank you

My sister sent me a package with a bunch of goodies she didn't want from her craft stash and I made a Thank you card for her using them.  I took these pictures with my phone camera and I don't know that I like them as well as using my point and shoot camera.

Sorry I forgot to write down the name of the paper pack, popped up one of the snowflakes. She gave me a bunch of these cute little candy canes and the thank you is stickers that have silver glitter on them :)

    Gnome Girls

When we went on vacation to Montana this past September I saw these stickers that were gnome girls, I don't always see gnome girls and I thought they might be cute for girl cards, so I picked them up. I have been waiting to post until I had looked through my pictures to see what I might like to post of the trip with them and I looked at a few so far and decided to post a few with the card.

    • Dover Publications - Garden Gnome stickers
    • Carta Bella - Alphabet Junction Papers
    • Spellbinders - Labels 23 dies
    • Sentiment from a papercraft magazine
    • Confetti is left overs from die cuts

Now onto Montana pictures, like I said these are from late September, I think I will have more but I have more cards I made from things picked up on the trip so I will post more pictures then.

I am starting off with a drive along Spearfish Canyon in this first photo when you come around this bend there is a pull off and we didn't realize at first that we would be able to see Mount Rushmore from it, neat surprise :) Can you make out their faces?

We really enjoyed this walk they had a long the river.

I thought this was a cool look to this last plant, like how it curls in all direction, it made me wonder what it looked like in the summer time or when it was in full bloom before Autumn time hit it, let me know if you recognize it.

Well that is all for now,
Praying for all those effected once again by these terrible fires out west, and hope all stay safe from here south who are getting more snow/ice once again, we had just finally finished getting all the ice off our walks and driveway and now we have another 3 inches to take care of, that will probably feel so much easier after the last ice/snow we had to deal with :)

    Best Ever

Today's card is using another Graphic Fairy image. I actually started collecting these digital images if there comes a time when I can't see well to color anymore I could still make cards. Well they are so pretty I have had a hard time not using them now :) I found these washi border tapes on Amazon, it has a look of burnt edge to them, I couldn't resist and picked them up.

    • Graphic Fairy - Digital image
    • 49 and market - 12x12 In the leaves paper, In the leaves foliage PVC die cut(leaf) and Wishing bubbles and trinkets (sentiment, leaf and dots)
    • PPD - Wavy stitched rectangle
    • Amazon - Washi tape

They are having a rough time trying to clean up the roads with all the ice and snow and the temperatures are so cold nothing is melting, so schools are closed again, stores have limited hours of opening and we have had no mail or deliveries happening, no garbage pick up, it is just quiet out there, so strange.  Luckily we had done our grocery shopping a few days before everything hit, and hubby has a desk job so he can work from home when needed.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

    Baby Boy

We have another baby in the family, my great niece had a little boy. I used my old dollar stamps from Michaels, I picked up many when they use to sell them.  I tried doing like a stitched look around like it is  a quilt but not sure if I really achieved that or not :)

    • Studio G - Baby Boy stamps
    • PPD - Mini stitched square dies
    • Dritz - Serrated Tracing wheel (faux stitching look for background)

You can see the lines the tracing wheel made to section off the different areas.

    Happy New Year

We woke up to such bad tragedy in our country today, praying that good will over power evil and we can have peace and show love towards one another and not hate. Praying for all the families in New Orleans that were effected by this terrible act.

I bought 3 Advent Calendars this year, I like opening the doors each day of the month and seeing what fun things are behind them for cardmaking.  It was my first year for Anna Griffins had 12 days of tags dies with special little dies to use as the holes in the die or you can leave them plain, so you can mix and match them, plus decorative dies to use on them, foiled cardstock and string to put in them.  Diamond Press also had their first advent calendar, and this was my second year to purchase the Spellbinders Advent Calendar and on day 7 they had this pretty layering stencil that I used on this card.

I inked one side then flipped my paper and did it again to get this look, using gems to join them and add a bit of sparkle. That left me just enough room for a sentiment to be stamped at the bottom, I did it on a piece of pattern paper.

    • Spellbinders - 2024 Day 7 Advent Calendar Stencil
    • Simon Says Stamps - Tiny words Birthday stamp
    • Gems

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today and every time you do, so thankful for the friendships I have made through the blog.
I hope you have a very Happy and Healthy New Year.
