Oooops Redo

Well I went to put the Blue Rose card into an envelope to get ready to mail and realized that the flower was way to big for mailing, I was so bummed because I loved the way it worked out, so I used the same K&co Blue Awning paper.  Spellbinder Foliage die.
The flower was made using the Cricut Pagoda cartridge, finished it off with a gem center.

Martha Stewart leaf punch was added around the flower and also white circles that were embossed and I added some blue stickles to the centers.
Anita sentiment stamp and I went over it with a glitter pen, doesn't really show up well in the picture.

Yes I have tried it and it fits in the envelope very well.  The other card will be given to a girlfriend here that I can hand deliver the card too.

First Time Grandma

A Friend of mine moved close to where her kids had moved so that when they had kids she would be able to see her grandbaby and they just had their first little girl.  She is thrilled to be a Grandma.

I found a whole bag of precious moments stamps at my local thrift store and this was one of them.  I colored the image with markers.
Paper is Basic Grey Sweet Pea Alyssa collection.  Used Spellbinder Deckle Rectangle to cut out the image and mounted that on a Labels 8 die.

Behind the image I used the Martha Stewart Beaded Arcs punch for the fancy lacy look.  I just punched it out on both sides of the paper to get that look.

Sentiment is from the Impression Obsession  Sentiment II set, and I stamped that onto a Spellbinder Grommet tags die.

For all of you Cricut owners, I went to Wal-mart yesterday and they have about 10 of their cartridges marked down to $29, of course the ones that I really wanted were not on sale but I did get a couple that had some cute things on it.

Hope you all have a Terrific weekend,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Blue Rose

I used the McGill Flower petals punch to make the Flower. The little white flowers were purchased at Michaels in a bouquet and I just took them apart and added some sunshine yellow flower soft to the centers.
Spellbinder Foliage Die for the leaves.
K&co. Blue Awning Paper.
 Sentiment stamp is Anita's.

I thought I would take another picture of the dimension you get with this flower, I really love the look you can achieve.

I have been enjoying all the blue themed cards out there lately so I just had to do one myself even though you don't see to many blue flowers :)

Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment, I really apprecaite it.

1st Birthday

Images and sentiment are Stickers from a scrapbooking calendar.  Papers are from Sassafras Apple Jack paper pad.
Spellbinder circle and Lacey circle dies.  Buttons are from the flea market.

We haven't gone to the flea market at all this year, hoping that we make it next month, the good one nearest to us is every 3rd Saturday of the month and people sell their old stamps and you can always find some vintage goodies to go on your cards if your into that kind of thing.  Just an idea for some of you that may have a big flea market near your town, it is something fun to walk around and look at all the treasures :)

We finally had a little break in the temperature this morning, of course it didn't take long to heat up, but it was at least a little bit of a break.  Hope your all staying cool.

I'm Back!!!!

Yes Greg (my loving hubby)  was able to get my computer up and running again.  We thought he had it there just by going in and removing files he found and such but then we noticed other things weren't working correctly so it was time to start all over from scratch.   So thankful he was able to save all my files and get me back up.

My card today uses the Daisy and Dandelion & friends stamp set that came with the Papercrafting magazine.  The daisy's at the bottom are from the All occassion messages from Hero arts.  This is my first attempt at coloring with pencils on Kraft cardstock, not sure how much I like it.  I added stickles to the flower centers.

Spellbinders circle and eyelet circle used for the image and sentiment, which is a Impression obsession sentiment.  Sassafras apple jack paper.
Martha Stewart Garden Trellis punch and butterfly punch.

Has anyone been following the spellbinder release, I already have a wish list going and I still haven't been able to get the ones on my wish list from last release.

Wishing you all a great weekend, and stay cool,
Thanks for stopping by and hanging in there with me through my computer problems,

Computer problems

I must have downloaded a Trojan virus onto my desktop computer, we thought my husband had it fixed last night but this morning when I was trying to do stuff on it, things were all mixed up and not working properly.  So my husband will be trying again later to get it fixed, in the mean time I am on my little laptop that doesn't have anything on it, about all I can do is get on the internet with it, so until he gets my desktop fixed I won't be able to post cards, hopefully that will be by tomorrow.

Hope your enjoying a good week,
Connie

Engagement

The weekend that my daughter got married my nephew asked his girlfriend to marry him, isn't that neat.  This is the little engagement card I made for them, it is a 3 3/4 square card.

The ring is a studio g stamp.  I colored over the stamping of the band with sharpie metallic marker.  And used diamond stickles on the diamond.
Ek sucess circle punch and marvy scallop punch for the framing, also did some piercing on the scallops as well above and below the K&co. paper.
EK success heart corner punch.  Studio G sentiment on a spellbinder die, and added some heart brads from Paper Stuido, they can be purchased at Hobby Lobby.

You know it is hot out when you pull your shades and you can still feel the heat coming through.
Hope all are staying cool,

Recycle

My Sisters Mother in law knows that I make cards and she gave her a bunch of card fronts that she had to give to me, thought I might be able to use them.  I thought I would show you this one because I think it is such a cute idea to reproduce.  If you don't have wire for the stems you could stitch them or if you have a stem stamp you could stamp the stem.

Of course you have to add your own touch so I added the sentiment stamp from Hero Arts and to the buttons I added Lemon Yellow Liquid Pearls, don't know if you can see it, I put them right over the holes of the buttons.

We reached over the 100 degree mark yesterday with the heat index and it is suppose to continue like this all week, it just so figures that I have alot of running around to do this week.  Hope you all are staying cool, especially our men and women that work outside all day in this heat.

Spellbinders circle, Labels 3 and scallop square was used for the framing.  On the scallop square I used a Fiskars stars texture plate.

Rainbow effect

I can't remember what this technique is called.  But I embossed with white powder and then added the inks with the Tim Holtz sponges.  I used Distress inks and chalk inks.  The stamp is from Unity Stamp co.
The Prima paper I won From Becca of Amazing paper grace.  I thought it looked close to my inking job I had done.  Yes I picked out the paper after doing my stamping and inking.  Martha Stewart border punch which I added Black Enamel accents to.
Offray ribbon and Martha Stewart tag and hand written sentiment.

Yesterday and this morning we have actually had a little relief from the heat.  We went for a walk and actually enjoyed it last night.  They say we will be 99 from Sunday -Tuesday, so I am going to enjoy this while I can.  Hope you all are staying cool.

Thanks so much for stopping by and your nice comments,

One of a kind

This is the card I did for my husband for Fathers day.  Heartfelt Creations Outside my window stamp, colored with pencils.  Added waterfall stickles to the water.
Cut out with Spellbinder Circle and Square spellbinders.  Queen and co. Chocolate Delight Pearls for the corners and added the Martha Stewart Branch punch to the bottom.
Paper is DCWV from the Rustic stack.  I forgot to write down the maker of the sentiment stamp, but I think it is Hero Arts.

Fence Post

A Stamper friend was giving away some old stamps and she asked me if I wanted this Spring Fence stamp from Great Impressions, I thought it was cute so I said yes.  I have added the fence rails behind it the original was just the individual planks.  This was colored with Markers.

Behind the fence I used a Martha stewart corner and edge punch. Scraps of papers for the background.
I can't remember who the maker of the sentiment stamp is if you are curious let me know and I will look it up.  The gems are from Queen and co.

Well the evening that my niece arrived we had some big down pours and had flooding again, out front it came within 3 feet of coming into our garage and out back it was 2 feet from our deck.  Our shed had a foot of water in it, that is how high the water mark was, we had to go in take everything out and wash the mud out of the shed, our grass has a grey tint to it from all the mud, we have lived in this house for 6 years now and this is the worse we have seen and hopefully won't see anything like it again.

Hope you all are staying safe and cool,

Have a Blast

Boy birthday card for my great nephew.  The rocket is from the "just because cards" cricut cartridge.  Mounted on an oval spellbinder die.  Used the Fiskar Star template for the stars, stamped the sentiment in one of them.  Cuttlebug embossing folder for the background and used some grey ink on it.

Well I have to get moving, my neice and her three boys are stopping in to visit and spend the night on their way home from visiting family in Michigan.  Hope your all staying cool in this HOT weather :)

40th Anniversary

We took a little break and drove to Chattanooga Tenessee and then spent a day driving through the Great  Smokey Mountains, it was just Beautiful, I will have to share some photo's later.  Of course when we got back there was alot of catching up to do, and then yesterday I was going to post but we had some storms go through and our power was knocked out for a little while, by the time it came back on we needed to get ready to head to our Daughter and Son in laws house about an hour away, they invited us up for the celebrations and to see the fireworks in their town, for being such a small town they put on one of the best shows we have seen.  On with the card :)

My Brother and Sister in law are celebrating their 40th Anniversary.  They are Missionaires in the Ukraine, so hopefully I didn't get too bulky with this card, but it had to be special right :)

The reason that made me want to buy this spellbinder lacey ovals die is all the pretty lacing of ribbon I was seeing on blogs, and this is the first time I have actually done it.  The stamped flower is from Cloud nine design and I used Markers to color it.
The paper is more from the Cardmaking and papercraft magazine freebie. On the kraft paper I embossed two lines on the top and bottom and on top added the stamped sentiment  from Hero Arts everyday sayings along with some bling stickers.
The love sentiment stamp is from Fiskars.  Martha Stewart border punch.
