Sorry about being late for another post, yesterday was another busy day.
The following card is for my great niece.
g.c.d. -- Homespun chic, Melody Ross designer collection papers
Spellbinders -- Lg. Classic inverted scalloped squares, lg. classic squares and A2 matting basics A dies
Fiskars -- pinwheel punch
mini brads
Queen &co. -- Irridescent rhinestones
Stamps of life -- Stand up 4 sentiments stamp
I tried to off set the middle pinwheel to give the feel of motion, not sure if it works or not, LOL!
We received some bad news yesterday, our friend has taken a turn for the worse, she is back in intensive care, I guess her heart is ok, but she is having problems with her lungs, her breathing is not good, if you could say a prayer for her we would appreciate it, her name is Dorcas. Thanks so much.
Another busy day today so I better get moving,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

In my Prayers
Our Friends moved to Turkey to teach English and she has went through a triple bypass, replaced a heart valve, and repair of two others, she is in her 50's. I wish they would have come home to have the surgery done but she felt comfortable having it there where the Doctor who has been seeing her these past few years will do the surgery and the hospital is known for their heart treatments. She was in intensive care longer than they thought she would be, but she is now on the main floor and trying to walk again.
In this card I used only the bottom half of the memory box die, and it was colored w/markers.
Memory Box-- Caseta Bloom die (bottom half) colored w/markers
Taylored Expressions -- many mini occasions sentiment stamp
Scalloped circle punch
Martha Stewart -- butterfly punch
Scrap of paper
Distress inks -- old paper
We are suppose to have cooler temps this week in the low 80's :) we have a drive in here in town and we haven't been in many years so we are thinking about doing it this week, have to take advantage of these beautiful nights.
Hope all is well where you are and you are having a great start to your week,
Thanks so much for stopping by today,
Connie

Birthday Wishes
I was in a rut so I went looking through my old Papercrafts magazines and found this design and it gave me the inspiration for this card. I hadn't used these stamps in many years, they are on long wooden sticks and they are meant to create a flower scene with them, so I just had to get them out and see what I came up with :) The center of the flowers are done with a pen.
Scenic Route paper co. -- Cerulean gold dots paper
Quik kutz -- Vines embossing folder
Fiskar -- Corner Rounder punch
Spellbinders -- Labels 4 and Labels trio dies
Rubberstamp Tapestry -- Butterfly Blooms stamps
Queen &co. -- yellow sunshine pearls
We have one cool day this week, so we are going to try and tackle our garage. Since we don't have a basement that is where alot of things are put through out the winter and it needs to be organized badly. Hope you all are enjoying your week, we are almost at the weekend!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time out of your busy day to stop by and for leaving your comments it means so much to me,

Going away
This is the card I made for our Pastor and his wife, this past Sunday was his last Sunday with us, there were alot of shed tears, they will be greatly missed. It is unsettling to know what the future will hold but I pray that God will give our Church leaders wisdom as they pick the new Pastor.
It was hard to get a good picture of this card, I don't know if it was the time of day I took it or the embossing just reflected badly or what so I have two shots so hopefully you can get what I was going for.
I first tried to emboss with the same paper that I stamped the verse on and you just couldn't see the detail in the stamp, finally found some detailed embossing powder and that still didn't help so I went with stamping on the white paper and just doing some inking around the edges of both the image and card, then used a silver pen to go around the edges.
Our Daily Bread designs -- Surging Sea stamp set for image and verse, embossed in silver
Tim Holtz -- Vintage Shabby papers
Spellbinders -- A2 Distressed edges, Labels 11, A2 matting basics A and long classic rectangles small dies
Distress inks -- Faded jeans
DCWV -- Metallic stack paper
Brads
This next picture lets you get a better view of the verse that is also in this stamp set.
I want to thank all those who have become followers of my blog, I am not apart of google plus so it wouldn't let me go to your blogs but I appreciate you stopping by and letting me know that you were here, I really appreciate that.
I hope you all are enjoying the start to your week,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Masculine memory plaque
I couldn't think of a good name for this post, the packaging calls it a memory tray. This was the project I mentioned I was working on a while ago, it took a couple of days work but I was fairly happy with it and I think our friend liked it and that is the main thing. This was a joint effort with my hubby, we went shopping for a gift at first and then we just couldn't find anything that spoke to us, well we went back in the scrapbooking section to check out the sales at Hobby Lobby and my hubby found this tray and said I could do different things in each section of our friends farm. So we bought that, found some little bottles that I used a dropper to put actual Honey from his farm in it. Greg made the labels for the jars. We found that farming paper so we bought that and the stickers were also something we bought, wasn't sure how I was going to use all that but brought it all home and started moving things around and came up with this! He sells honey and has chickens and eggs and they have two horses, but I could only fit one :) He also has a garden so that is why we picked the verse we did.
I did not write anything down of what I used so this is all from memory, if you want to know exactly the name of a die set, just let me know and I can look it up for you.
The background papers are all from the Paper Studio, Tattered and Worn Pack
The frame and bottles are also Paper Studio.
Bees dies from Elizabeth Crafts
Fox Hill Farm Title, Feathers are Spellbinder dies
Eggs lettering, Branch, Flowers and fence are all Memory box dies
Bird is Taylored Expressions die
Sun and the raven are both dies that my hubby used and I have no idea what set they are from.
The bible verse is Isaiah 30:23 and was done on the computer as well as the honey labels.
The beehive image that the raven is sitting on my hubby found HERE at the Graphics Fairy, Greg wanted to find one that was more like the one our friend uses then the traditional bee hive.
Here is a closeup pic of it too:
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!!

Katie's Inspiration
It is time for another inspiration challenge, I just finished this card a few minutes ago, the first and the 15th of the month just seem to be creeping up on me before I know it.
I started following Katie's blog not to long ago. A few ladies that I follow, (Leslie and Christine) are on the Power Poppy Blog team and I was going through one of their Hops when I came across Katie's Blog, oh my goodness, her work is just Beautiful, as with the other ladies she colors the images just Beautifully.
The card I chose to use as my inspiration can be found HERE on Katie's blog .
I had planned to cut my flower out and add it to the oval like Katie did, I just loved that look but I ended up cutting the oval out and stamping the flower while the die was still in so the stem wouldn't be on the edge of the die. I used the roll technique for the butterfly, the yellow I used for the center ended up not stamping all that dark.
Inkadinkado -- Garden Flowers stamp set, for both images and sentiment
Spellbinder -- Classic ovals lg, Floral Ovals and Decorative Labels 8 dies
Cosmo Cricket-- paper
Ribbon -- white and has been colored w/marker
enamel accents -- white
At you spica pen -- twinkling like stars (on flower)
I hope you get the chance to stop by Katie's blog and check out all her Beautiful creations.
Hubby and I went for a walk today, the weather is just beautiful, mid 70's, we have the doors open, we both so enjoy this weather! Hope you have good weather too.
Thanks so much taking the time to stop by and letting me know what you think, I really appreciate it.

You Old Bird
I have been working on a bigger project for a few days but took some time out today to make a card for one of our friends from church. My girlfriend is having a 50th birthday party for him.
So you know I had to do a card making fun of his age...
Inkadinkado -- Bird Assortment stamp set, for image and sentiment, colored w/markers
Tim Holtz -- Wood grain embossing folder
Buttons are some old ones I found at a Flea Market
I scored two lines above and below the sentiment and buttons using the scorpal
The weather has once again become very warm, can't take being outside for long but they are saying by mid week we will be in the upper 70's, and I love that!!!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekend,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and see what I have been up to,
Connie

Basic Training
A Young man from church has gone into Air Force Basic Training and his mother asked for anyone who would like to send words of encouragement to him, instead of just a letter I decided to also make a card.
The stars are from a border die of memory box, but I just cut off the stars and used them on the flag.
The red paper is from some paper I found at Big Lots some time ago, the stripes I did from some 7 gypsies paper with text on it, this paper I have had for some time also. The blue cardstock has some texture on it, and I cut out the stars with white cardstock and used some distress inks on them to try and match the striped paper, I distressed all the edges. The border die I used was Night Sky border by Memory Box.
Hope your week is going well, it seems to be just flying by for me, I haven't had any creative time in the past couple of days :(
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Potted flowers
On the Memory box blog they were showing how you keep the inies in the dies for filler instead of leaving them blank or coloring. On this card I first cut it all out in white cardstock and just kept the outline of the die, then cut the pot in a terra cotta color carstock and added that on top filling in the center of the pot, next colored the leaves and stems with markers and then cut the flowers out in a blue paper, well the inies fell out of the center of the flowers and it was so hard to try and match them up, they suggest leaving them in the die and placing them one by one, which would have been easier so instead I added stickles to the flower petals and centers.
DCWV-- Rustic Stack paper
Memory Box -- Fancy potted flowers dies
Spellbinders -- Classic Ovals Lg., Decorative Labels 28 and Scalloped Borders two
Stickles -- Baby Blue and Antique Linen
Hope you enjoyed a wonderful weekend and the week ahead will bring much happiness,
Thanks so much for stopping by and letting me know,

Happy Independence Day
I usually never make cards for the 4th of July so I don't have one of those to share with you but I do have a birthday card for my nephews new wife. I tired water coloring with my distress markers again on watercolor paper. I have been noticing a few cards that are using a die to give the look of the old Polaroid camera picture, I used two dies from spellbinders and mounted the image behind it.
Art Impressions -- Birdhouse neighborhood stamp, colored with distress markers
Spellbinders -- classic square lg and A2 matting basics A dies
My mind's eye -- Sweet thing paper
Elizabeth craft designs -- Happy Birthday die
EK success -- flower punches, that have been shaped with stylus
Recollections -- wooden bird
Stickles -- Vintage photo
We didn't end up going to fireworks last year it was just too hot, but this year is just perfect so we will be heading to them this evening, already had our cook out, hopefully will have some fun time card making before we go :)
Hope your day is going well and you enjoy celebrating this country that God has blessed us with.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and letting me know what you think of my card,

Jacqueline's Inspiration
Am I alone in thinking the time is just flying by, the First and 15th of the months come so quickly and I need to find a card for my inspiration post.
If you love stamping and want to get some wonderful inspiration for trying new things and getting a wonderful look, you will have to check out Jacqueline's Blog . There are so many more things I want to try but I was in a bit of a hurry and was hoping this wouldn't take to much time.
On her card she used Alcohol Inks for her background and I just love that look, will have to try it soon, but instead I used Designer paper to emboss my stamping. I used Gold and white embossing powders. I only had one big stamp that I thought would work well enough for this technique. Stamped once with all gold, stamped again in all white and chose parts that I cut with my die.
You can find the card I used for my inspiration HERE .
After I finished it I was thinking maybe silver embossing powder would have been better than the gold on this blue but my hubby thought the silver wouldn't have been enough contrast from the white.
PSX -- Stamp
Graphic 45 -- LeCirque Collection paper
Spellbinders -- Classic Square Lg dies (1" size) Back to basics tags die
Stamps of Life -- minis 4 circles
Cafaroo -- Rhinestone, colored w/marker
DCWV -- Card base
Mounted all the squares onto cream cardstock, then onto grey then onto the card base.
I hope you get a chance to stop by her blog and see her gorgeous creations, I was lucky enough to have won one of the cards off her blog awhile back.
Hope your week is going well,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leaving your comments,
Connie
