Time again to throw a feminine card into the batch :)
I had stamped, colored and cut these Vintage Florets out a few months ago at one of our Ladies Craft nights we have at church, but never shaped them and put them together so I decided it was about time I used them in a card. The smaller flowers are bitty blossoms. Did a bit of inking on the smaller flowers, the fern and rose leaves.
Heartfelt creations -- Vintage Floret stamps and dies, colored w/ markers
Flower soft -- sunshine yellow (flower center)
Spellbinders -- Foliage, Labels 37 and Bitty Blossom dies
Martha Stewart -- Butterfly punch
Liquid Pearls -- Lemon Yellow (on butterfly)
Hero Arts -- Fabulous Birthday sentiment stamp
Plastic baby breaths
Hope your week is starting off nicely,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leave your comments, I so appreciate it,

Udderly fantastic
This is for another great nephew turning 14, I hope this puts a smile on his face and he likes it, I am running out of teen ideas.
I found the fabric birthday sentiment while looking for something else the other day so I thought that would go with this too and you just have to add a button to anything fabric right :)
Inkadinkado -- Friendly Characters stamp set, colored w/markers
Distress inks for the grass and the sponging around the image
Recollections -- Awesome boy paper
Spellbinders -- Lg. classic inverted scalloped square and Hexagon dies
Making memories -- woven labels
Fiskars -- Corner and grass punches
button w/ DMC thread
I helped my husband work on the truck for two days this week and he was finally able to get the whole brake line fixed. I felt so bad for him, his hand and especially his ribs took a beating but he wanted to get it done, he had to take out 3 things in the engine to get to the lines so he had to get all that back together after getting the line fixed. It is nice to be back to two cars again. Hopefully next week he can climb up on the roof and get that fixed and we will be all set.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Cattails and Butterflies
I found a similar style of cutting on the silhouette and tried cutting it out but just didn't like how choppy the cut seemed, so when I found this die from cottage cutz, I thought I would give it a try and it cut perfectly, I am very happy with the way this turned out. I made this for my nephews wife but I can see this being used for a masculine card too :)
I cut it from green cardstock, first colored the cattails with brown marker and then tried yellow for the flowers and orange for the butterflies, well those colors just looked like more shades of brown when colored on the green cardstock so I added stickles to those and I think the diamond stickles actually brought out some of the orange on the butterflies.
Cottage Cutz -- Fancy cattails and butterflies die
Damask Rose -- paper from cardmaking and papercrafts magazine
Spellbinders -- A2 matting basics A and Romantic Rectangles dies
Glimmer mist on the Romantic Rectangle die
Distress ink -- frayed burlap
Stickles -- yellow and diamond
David Tutera -- Celebrate sentiment
Ribbon
We are having beautiful weather this week and while out and about we are seeing some trees starting to change color too. Autumn is in the air :)
Hope your all enjoying a great week so far,
Thanks so much for stopping by, and taking the time to comment too, love to hear from you,

Birthday phone
This is going to my great nephew who started High School this year.
Recollections -- Awesome boy paper
Silhouette -- die cut (phone)
SRM -- Happy Birthday sticker
Fiskars -- Border punch
Piercing
My hubby's hand and ribs are still healing, but he has rode his bike two days in a row now, I think I would be a bit nervous to hop right back on while still healing.
Hope you all have beautiful weather this weekend before Autumn officially starts :)

Michelle's Inspiration
Yes I do realize I am a few days late for my challenge post, but things have been just a bit crazy around here, I will have more at the end of the post to explain.
My middle of the month inspiration comes from Michelle and you can see the Beautiful card that inspired mine Here on her blog . For some reason when I click on the link it sends me to the comments so if that happens to you too, just scroll up to see the card :)
Here is my version, and yes this will be going to another nephew of mine :)
I first sponged on some Mustard seed distress ink all over my piece of cardstock, then laid the stencil over and sponged the wild honey, well to get the sun in the corner of my stencil didn't quite reach to the opposite corner so I had to move the stencil and try again. Hopefully you understand what I am saying, LOL! I used 3 stamps from the set, one bird I have perched on the flourish and the other flying through the air. I just loved the stamps that Michelle had chosen to use and of course she hand sponged her rays, no stencil there, she does such beautiful work with brayers and her inks and stamping, hope you get a chance to check out her whole blog.
Distress inks -- Mustard seed and wild honey
Tim Holtz -- Rays stencil
Inkadinkado-- flourishes stamp set
Technique Tuesday -- Happy Birthday stamp set
Spellbinders -- A2 matting basics B
Ki -- metal accents
We have had a string of bad situations this week, first we found a leak in our closet and found out the vent pipes on our roof is leaking. Then Sunday after church my hubby was driving his truck home ( I had to work in the office that morning, so I drove separately) and his brakes failed him. We were so thankful it happened on our street and no one was around when the truck went right through the stop sign. It took part of Sunday and Monday to remove the line (from front to back of truck). Yesterday after I went grocery shopping we went out and bought all the parts for him to fix the truck today. Well before work my hubby decided that he would ride his bike, I didn't go with him because I am still dealing with the sciatica pain. Well on the way home on a fairly busy street near us he turned to check traffic and when he came back he hit a pot hole and flipped over the handle bars. He rode it the rest of the way home and showed up bleeding from his arm and leg, went in to take a shower to get ready for work and realized his hand was in pain, and bending over his ribs hurt. He ended up with a fractured hand and bruised ribs, he wants to get out there and finish fixing the truck and replacing the vents on the roof and mowing the lawn but I am making him take at least today off.
We are praying for a calm rest of this week,
Hope your week is running smoothly,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

Taylored Expressions Selfie/Share
The challenge ends tonight but I was able to get it finished in time.
Taylor had a challenge to make a card using a sketch she provided, take a selfie of you with it and then give it to someone. Well let's just say I don't like taking selfies, I can't ever get it right or maybe it is the subject I am taking a picture of I don't know. But I do know this will be going to my Nephew, who will be turning 30 this year.
Now I will have to say I like the picture I took of it by itself much better :)
Taylored Expression -- From my window stamp set
Many mini occasions sentiment stamp set
Designer mini tags dies
Spellbinders -- Large Deckled Rectangles dies
Teresa Collins -- he said she said papers
Basic Grey -- Brad
Distress ink -- Vintage photo
I will be back tomorrow with my inspiration card, but not sure when, on the way home from church this morning my husbands brakes quit working, thank goodness at the intersection that is right by our house and there were no other cars around, so we will be working on getting that fixed or making arrangements to take it in.
Hope you all enjoyed your weekend, and thanks so much for stopping by,
Connie

ODBDSLC213 Stitch it
We were able to meet up with our friend a few days after the funeral service of his wife and this is the card we gave him, when I saw this challenge over at Our Daily Bread Designs , I got the idea for this card. I used my sew easy to make the marks and sewed the vine by hand with floss.
Our Daily Bread designs -- Scripture collection 2
Spellbinders -- Cross Collection, curved rectangles dies (sponging while cardstock was still in the die)
My mind's eye -- Signature life by Jen Wilson paper
DCWV -- Metallic papers (cross and corners)
Fiskars-- Corner tab punch
Sew Easy -- Vine (large stitch)
Queen & co. -- Chocolate Delight pearls
We have such chilly temps today, I actually had to wear a coat for our walk, it is hard to believe just last week we were dealing with heat index in the 100's. But it is alot more enjoyable when I am not over heated while walking.
Hope you all have a nice weekend ahead of you,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Fall Birthday
It is that time again, in the months of September and October I have the most masculine cards to make, I have a Brother in law, Nephews and Great Nephews birthdays all crammed in these two months so you will be seeing quite a few here, but hopefully I will have time to make some Girly cards to add in every now and then :)

Inky Antics -- stamp colored w/ pencils
Spellbinders -- Classic Lg Square, Marvelous Squares and Fall Foliage dies
g.c.d, -- Loverly papers
Martha Stewart --Cherish border punch, punched on both sides of the paper
Hero Arts -- Birthday messages stamp set
Distress ink -- Wild Honey on the leaves dies
Twine--bow
Another real Hot one today but this afternoon we are suppose to get some storms that will be blowing cooler temps our way... fall is on it's way :)
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and leaving your comments, I appreciate it!

U ROCK!
Can I just say that masculine cards are hard but Teen guy cards are even harder. I thought there were some stamps in this Papertrey ink set that might work neat for a teen card, after it was all finished I realized I stamped the long arrow die the wrong way, I wanted it to go in a circle from the sentiments around.
Papertrey Ink -- Live, love, life stamp set, chalk inks
Spellbinders -- Classic rectangles and A2 matting basics B dies
Taylored Expressions -- Hexagon stacklets dies
Crate paper -- Party day paper
Ki -- metal adhesives
I took a little turn for the worse, Our church is having the carpets cleaned this week, so after evening service we decided to clear out the rooms being cleaned while we had alot of people there, well while moving chairs I did something wrong and hurt my toe quite bad, I have pain right at the joint of the toe. I have a follow appointment next Thursday so we will see what the Doctor thinks I did. I had to skip my walking today, hoping it will heal pretty soon, we are finally getting lovely walking weather so I don't want to miss out on it.
Hope your week has started out a bit better than mine,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Birthday/Sympathy
My nephew has a 9 month old boy now, so I don't know how much relaxing he will be doing today but this is what I came up for his day.
Stampabilities -- Hammock Hibernation stamp, colored w/markers
Spellbinders -- A2 matting basics B and A2 Distressed edges dies
Recollecions -- Garden Harvest papers
DCWV -- card base
Hot off the press -- 130 tiny words and phrases stickers, sentiment in bottom left corner
I know it is hard to see the sentiment in the bottom left corner but I didn't want to add a big tag or something to put the sentiment on so I went with this way
A couple of days after making my nephews birthday card his best friend died after having a crate of tiles fall on his head at Menards in the Detroit area, I wanted to send him a card so I made the following card, it measured 3 1/4 x 4 1/2.
Memory Box -- Vespertine blossoms
Elizabeth crafts -- With sympathy die
DCWV -- Earthprints paper and cardstock
I know today will be a sad day, missing his best friend but I hope he can take the time to celebrate the blessings of his life.
Wishing you all a great weekend, I know I am enjoying the cooler temps!
Thanks so much for stopping by,
Connie

Caution: Birthday Ahead
When I saw this stamp and die set combo I thought it would be so cute for the younger great nephews! He is turning 4 so I hope he thinks this is cute.
I actually used two die sets for this scene.
Taylored Expression-- Dig in Stamp and die set, images and sentiment, colored with markers and Sun and clouds die set
Spellbinders -- A2 Distressed edges die (sign)
Provocraft -- Scissor for dirt
Distress ink sponging for the sky
Hope you all are having a good week, I am able to walk everyday, which I am thankful for but in a little bit of pain, but nothing I can't handle.
Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment, I really appreciate the feedback :)

Hussena's Inspiration
I have had a bit of a busy morning, so I am a little late getting this posted. I have just recently started following Hussena's blog, she does such pretty work and this card HERE I just loved how she used embossing powder on the die frame, her background is amazing too but I wasn't that ambitious :)
Here is my version:
Spellbinders -- Decorative Labels 28, A2 scalloped Borders 2 and Asters & poppies colored w/inks and markers
My mind's eye -- Sweetest thing paper
Corner stickers that I colored with dark grey marker
David Tutera-- Celebrate sticker
Distress ink-- antique linen on sentiment
Hope you get a chance to check out her blog and some beautiful creations.
My hubby has to work today so no big plans, sure hope to get some more cardmaking done :) Hope your all enjoying your long weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by and taking the time to comment, I appreciate that!
