Sibling Christmas

These cards didn't go as planned but when your in crunch time I guess you just go with it.... I saw this kit at Barnes and Nobles It had pretty stamps and a idea magazine, and a lot of pretty Thomas Kinkade pictures to use on Christmas cards, and this was the day that B&N was having 30% off all their magazines so I jumped on it.

I stamped out 3 of the images I liked the most in the stamp set and started coloring all 3 at the same time, I thought I would do batches of 3 at a time coloring, hoping it would go faster that way, and I only had room on my desk for 3 at a time, well as you can see, I tried 3 different greens that I had for the background and was never happy with any of them.  Using the snow on the one card I just wasn't sure about it so I used glitter on the other two, it took me 2 days of my cardmaking time to get these 3 done, at this rate it was going to take me forever.

Anna Griffin -- Christmas scrapbook paper
Hero Arts- CL 722 sentiment stamp set

Next I tried just embossing the image onto patterned paper and I really liked the look of that, so that is what I did for all my siblings. I had 3 sheets of the Jingle Bell paper, so they went to my Brothers

The Last two went to my sisters.

What a charm you always share, darling Connie, and when I think that what you share is all handmade, well, they're all artworks, really!

Blessings of joy are sent on your way

You've created some very different looks for this stamp and I like all of them! I sure understand about cards taking way too much time when ideas don't work out as planned and you keep trying to fix it. Happens to me all the time. The gold embossing on designer paper is a brilliant idea. You've given me an idea for some quick cards. Now to see if it works out or if I spend three days trying to get it right... sigh...

Wow, Connie! I love love love the different ways you have used this stamp! They are all amazing. I certainly am partial to that pale taupe ribbon - and you've tied it so beautifully with the little tags. The embossed cards are lovely, as well! I always forget about my designer papers, and am trying hard to remember to use them. Beautiful creations, Connie! hugs, de
