Sketch Challenge

I haven't participated in a few sketch challenges with my cardmaking group but when this one came up I knew I had many of these pieces in my 6x6 inch paper packs and it would be perfect to use some of them.  These all came from the same paper set.

I had no one in mind for this one so I thought I would make it a card just to say Hi when the time arises.

To make the background I applied some of my sparkle pens to my non stick craft sheet, added a little water and using a paint brush splattered the background, you can't see it in the pictures but it added a touch of sparkle.  The sentiment sticker is originally silver but I colored it with my markers so it went along with the colors in the paper better.

I really don't know what I think about this card, do you ever make something and just not sure what you think?

BasicGrey - Picadilly paper
Spectrum Sparkle pens - Sage and Biscuit for background
Hot off the press dazzles - 130 tiny words and phrases, colored w/marker

Thanks for stopping by,

Connie

Connie, I like your basket weave card (that's what I'm calling it)! The colors look so summery and fun.

Connie, I really can see why you saved the scraps of paper. It is a really pretty one! I like the card. I usually know if I like a card or not by the time I photograph it, but I know what you mean.

Oh, not knowing whether I like something I have created is something I am very familiar with. =) I think all these papers are very pretty. You have imagined another fabulous card. I love how you create something different and beautiful each time.

I love this card . . . the perfect card for someone who loves quilting :) I like what you said on the comment that you left on my blog too : God gave us the love of gardening so that we could still play in the dirt as adults . . . You are so right!
Happy Summer, sweet friend.
Connie :)

My first thought when I saw this card was how pretty it is. Love the papers. You've combined the colors beautifully and what a great way to use scraps. I make cards all the time that I'm on the fence about. Then there are those that I think are downright hideous and they go to the round file. This one deserves to be mailed.
