My nephews new wife's birthday is in a few days and I was coming up blank on an idea for her so I started going through my stuff and came across Hot off the press's Cardmaker's Birthday card quotes, and thought it would be neat.
Spellbinders-- Labels eight and decorative labels eight dies
DCWV-- Brights Matt stack
Forever in time -- gems
Distress ink-- Old Paper
Chalk
I decided to highlight some of the words with chalk that matched the framing color. I also used a grey chalk on the silverware but I don't think you can even tell in the picture.
I forgot to take a picture of the inside of the card, it also had an image from the book with chalking.
There is a gem missing from the top right corner, I realized it before I mailed it out, my hubby found it on the floor, I reattached it, so hopefully it stayed put when she opened the envelope.
Well I am almost done with my room reorganizing, I still need to purge more but it is hard for me to get rid of things, my sister tried to help me with that when we were moving from one of the bases while in the Air Force and I would come up with some reason why I needed to hang on to something.
So now I can get back to the fun part and that is creating.... I have to get ready for my next demo tomorrow too, so hopefully I can squeeze in some cards in there somewhere :)
Wishing you a great weekend and stay cool,
Thanks for stopping by,
Connie

Another great card, dear Connie! So glad the reorganizing is going well...I am like you and have a hard time getting rid of things :)
Have a sweet weekend. Hugs!
Oh, Connie, girl, what a gorgeous card! Love everything about this beauty! Hugs and blessings, Sabrina
HI Connie, love your card very nice job.
I didn't know your husband was in the air force or maybe retired from it. My dad was in the AF for about 30 years. We never had anything when my dad was in the AF because he always wanted to travel light. You sound like my mom she can't get rid of anything because she finds a reason to keep it. I get so frustrated with her about it because then she complains that he house is a mess. LOL! I just throw my hands up! la la la. I am happy to hear you were able to go through your stuff. I need to do it again this year sometime, esp in my craft room. Have a wonderful week! Hugs
Oh, I love this! The colors and your shading are just perfect! The quote is great. I have that in a Flourishes stamp. I enjoy reorganizing and purging almost as much as I enjoy stamping. I think I'm done purging and now I'm determined to use what I have.
SO CUTE!!!!
love the saying!!! perfect for this card
tfs:)
Very pretty Connie. Love the silverware and how you highlighted some of the words. The Spellbinders label looks very elegant and perfect.
