Pinterest inspiration card

My daughter and son in law left today and are heading to my SIL's parents house to visit for another week before their classes start up again.  I had started a card the other day but after they left today I realized it was the 15th and I needed an inspiration card for today.  I had nothing in mind from the blogs I follow so I decided to do a card that I have in my cards folder on pinterest.  Of course when I clicked on the image I had pinned it didn't lead me to the blog, but thank goodness the girl had a watermark of her blog so I will share that, I tried looking for the card for a little while but  couldn't find it, wanted to get this posted so I will look later and try to find the link for you.

I will have to say her card had big white sunflowers embossed on it, and she colored it all in yellow, I decided to use a few different inks and I also added sentiment to it.

Here is the link to her blog .

Hero Arts-- sunflower stamp embossed with white embossing powder
Distress inks :
Vintage photo
Wild Honey
Mustard seed
Bundled sage

Ribbon
Fiskar sentiment stamp
Spellbinder -- Lacey ovals die
DCWV  -- Card base

I wasn't going to share my first card but I decided to anyway, I am going to take off the sentiment tag and add another with brown ink, the orange ink I had didn't  go well with the ribbon and it isn't dark enough for me. Also the first card I used clear embossing powder by mistake and I really liked it better in white embossing powder.

Hope you all have a great start to your weekend.
Thanks so much for stopping by,

Connie

HI Connie your cards are always so beautiful. I always think of how you make them using things around the house you already have. That makes me think of you when I throw out calendars and cards. I thought of you a lot during our move when I had to dump a lot of stuff out. I thought I should be giving this to someone but did not know who, at least so close to my house. When you move you have to get rid of so much stuff.
It's always nice to have company esp your kids! I hope that you are enjoying your summer. Is it really hot there are you getting rain it is hot and dry we need rain and fall here. Have a great Sunday! Hugs Kat

I love your cards, Connie, including the one with the clear embossed sunflowers. It just gives it a softer look. That is such a pretty sunflower image. It's fun to make your own backgrounds sometimes.

Connie, both cards are spectacular works of art. How very pretty and unique each one is. I hear you on the watermarks saving one. I wish they all did that. I am guilty of saving like you do without remembering to look. I like how you did the inking and colors on both!!!
