Smoosh Stamping

On this technique in my group we were to add ink (at least 3 colors)  to our mats or acetate sheets, spray with a mister about 8 inches above a couple of times to add some water to the mix and then take our stamp and stamp it into that mixture and then on to our cards.  For some reason I didn't get a good full coverage of the stamp, but I thought it still gave a pretty watercolor feel to it.  I stamped mine onto watercolor paper but the girls were getting good results stamping on smooth paper, I will be trying this technique again but with smooth paper next time.

This is for my great niece who is a teenager.

Stampin up -- of the earth stamp set
Distress inks -- Dried marigold, fired brick and peeled paint
WeRmemory keepers -- anthologie paper
Watercolor paper for stamping
Martha Stewart -- gems
Stamps of life -- minis 4 circles sentiment stamp

I keep forgetting to share some of the pics from our leaf viewing on Sunday.

Here is my little Peanut, she is 15 now and can't hang as well as she use to, I think her old bones are taking a toll, but she tried so hard to keep up with us.  When we would put her in the car she would be totally asleep and snoring until the car stopped again and she would be all for getting out again, when we got home she went to her bed and barely got up and when she did you could tell she was hurting, I want to take her with us because she acts like she enjoys it but I hate to see her hurting later for it.

I loved how blue the sky looked against the colorful leaves in this one.

When we were walking back to the car I couldn't get over how bright the tree was so I took another picture, I love it when you can still see green in there too.

If I remember next time I will share some pics from the rest of the day.
Hope you have had time to get out and enjoy the fall colors.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and letting me know,

Connie

Oh, I just love the smoosh stamping method, and it does have a dreamy and watery feel to it. I love the colors you've used with the pretty paper. And what a great layout! And oh my! I just love seeing your photos of the most coloring autumn trees I've seen in a long time. They are as I remember when we lived in NJ. Oh, poor little Peanut. He is just adorable, and I'm so glad she had fun outside, but I hope she feels better after some rest in bed. Hugs, sweet friend!

Hi there Connie,
A wonderful card.. Re paper:
Some watercolour papers take water better than others, mostly rag .. some are warm pressed and some are cold pressed.
Some are rough ie harder to use in certain medium but take heaps of water and punishing, some are smoother and good for other mediums like calligraphy etc.

Have also done a method here where you scribble with water markers on solid stamp then huff with your warm moist breath on it then stamped on gloss card ... it worked a treat:

Well wonder if your very cute Peanut (love the name ) would benefit from homeopathy. Know it can work well with them. I take arnica orally whenever I garden and really feel so absolutely achy when I forget.

Just a thought, love how you made up this image too a great card,

I love the watercolor effect of this method. Very pretty, and thanks for sharing how you achieved it. Gorgeous photos. Wow! Poor little Peanut. Wally is six and LuLu four, and even they get a little stove up after a big day. They run so hard. I know Peanut wouldn't want to give up her fresh air outings. Little sweetheart. I do love the green showing in that brilliant red tree, too. Nature's art is truly amazing. I will look forward to more photos.

Oh wow, such beautiful trees Connie! You've captured them really well. The colour of the second one is amazing. I'm sorry your sweet dog friend is hurting, but I think she'd rather die in the harness (as we say here in the Netherlands), than to miss all the fun outdoors! Love your beautiful card too! Hugs
