I forgot to share the card I made for my friend to go with the place mats I made for her birthday, I wanted to do a quilted look, the stitching is all pen work, no real stitching on the card.
Taylored Expressions -- Hexagons dies with Faux stitching
K&co. -- Classic K paper
Spellbinders-- Rose Creations and Back to basics tags dies
Hero Arts -- All Occasions messages sentiment stamp
BasicGrey -- Brad
Gem on tag
I hope your week is off to a wonderful start, Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie
I thought I would share the following with you just in case you don't have a google account and still want to follow my blog:
An update on Google Friend Connect
December 21, 2015
In 2011, we announced the retirement of Google Friend Connect for all non-Blogger sites. We made an exception for Blogger to give readers an easy way to follow blogs using a variety of accounts. Yet over time, we’ve seen that most people sign into Friend Connect with a Google Account. So, in an effort to streamline, in the next few weeks we’ll be making some changes that will eventually require readers to have a Google Account to sign into Friend Connect and follow blogs.
As part of this plan, starting the week of January 11, we’ll remove the ability for people with Twitter, Yahoo, Orkut or other OpenId providers to sign in to Google Friend Connect and follow blogs. At the same time, we’ll remove non-Google Account profiles so you may see a decrease in your blog follower count.
We encourage you to tell affected readers (perhaps via a blog post), that if they use a non-Google Account to follow your blog, they need to sign up for a Google Account, and re-follow your blog. With a Google Account, they’ll get blogs added to their Reading List, making it easier for them to see the latest posts and activity of the blogs they follow.
We know how important followers are to all bloggers, but we believe this change will improve the experience for both you and your readers.

Happy New Year!
it's raining here today, cats and dogs!!! hehehehe, i always thought that expression was so funny!!!!
good news about that pump, they can be lifesavers, especially for basements. we are lucky to never have flooding!!!
i remember the placemats, how clever to match up the card!!!!
Hi Connie! I love the quilted look to your card. So cute! Have a wonderfully creative New Year!
Your card is sweet as can be, Connie! Hard to believe it is not real quilting! Glad that your pump is working and you had no flooding. Thanks for the Google update, I will have to pass it on. Hope your last few days of 2015 are good and the New Year brings many blessings. xo Karen
Connie this card is so beautiful and has a special place in my heart! You used my fave papers; the K&Co 'Ancestry,' line. Always classic and gorgeous! Thanks for sharing~Karen
Love this! Hexagons are my fav! ;) The hand stitching makes the perfect final touch!
What a grace in this last card of yours, sweet Connie !
Thank you again and again !
Have a very Happy New Year, darling, precious friend of mine, filled with love, health, joy, and dreams to make come true ...
sending blessings to you
Dany
Connie, I would never known it was pen work. The stitches look great. Your friend will be delighted!
So clever an idea to put patchwork on the card for a quilting lover!
I'm very glad the water is holding off ...I remember the problems you had before, and the worry. Rain has been doing it best to wash away York in England, the whole city is flooded...also Leeds but York gets all the publicity owing to its priceless architecture.
So glad to have you as a bloggy friend, dear Connie. Happy New Year to you and your husband and daughter.
Perfect card to go with the placemats! So cute! Together they made such a nice gift. Happy new year, Connie!
