Two step stamping

Now that I have the MISTI it sure makes lining up these two step stamping stamps so much easier. First I stamped the inside yellow color and then stamped the black outline, next time I would like to try a color a little lighter than black, I think a brown would have looked nicer, but didn't realize that until a couple of days after making this one.
There are a couple of each flower in this set along with stems and leaves. I added the little stem between the two flowers with a marker since I wanted more than one flower but there was not room for two stems.

I did faux stitching around the banner with a fine tip sharpie pen.

Penny Black -- Petal power stamp set
April Rose Illustrations -- Paper
Spellbinders -- Labels 8 die
Stamps of life -- Stand up 4 sentiments stamp
Stampendous -- Peel stickers (little gems)

I can't believe it is already the weekend again, wow how time just flies by,
Hope you all enjoy a great weekend,

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,

Connie

Love those two step stamps and this one is so cute and sunny! Great choice for a birthday card. Also noticed you used peel stickers for the gems. I've used those before and they really look dimensional. Can hardly tell the difference. Sure makes a card easy to mail and I do love that. Such cute, cute paper in the background, too!

GREAT card! PB has some beautiful floral stamps, like yours here! Love the 2 step process and I adore your 'hand stitching' adds such a nice accent!

Ooooo push the 'favorite' button! : ) Love your work here Connie, and I tend to like the black very well. I like the lay out (of the flowers And the banner) and the stitching is a great finishing touch~ Karen O

Great card, Connie, and love the one below with all the die cuts too.
well done and great cards.
I dont have a misti, and i wont be getting one unless they come down a whole lot cheaper over here. Don't have two step stamps either so that is one bonus :D when you've been stamping as long as I have you already have wa-aay too much.
However still love looking at new stuff and creations :D
Thanks so much for the inspiration.

The black lines work, I think Connie; it is quite a bold flower and the black picks up with the black lettering...
Some one likes gardening!
I think those flowers are like Rudbekia or similar.
Have a great week end! We are going away 1 night for my husbands high school reunion and the forecast is 'thundery and humid', but I suspect it is not as bad as the humidity you guys sometimes get.

Very pretty Connie. Love the flowers... and the banner with the vertical greeting. I almost bought a MISTI yesterday, but I am still trying to hold off on it because of the pricing.

Oh Connie, is this card ever beautiful. I love how it turned out with your technique. The tops of the flowers is awesome. I love anything with stitch design too. I often add it when painting. I will have to pin this one too. You've given my card board a great selection!!
Happy Sunday Blessings. xo

Gorgeous card Connie. Your two step, stamping is perfect. I was inter step to see you have used The Misti as we are just seeing them being advertised here in the UK. It looks a fantastic tool to use.
