Acetate Challenge

Stamp Tv was having an acetate challenge, they had you using acetate that you can emboss on, but instead I used Rub ons that I had in white instead of embossing with white embossing powder and I just used transparency instead of acetate.  I think you need to be a member to view it, I am not sure but this is the Link to the challenge .  I made a smaller area that I had my rub ons, hers was almost the whole front of the card, but I wanted a little more area to write my sentiment inside.

Making Memories -- Doodles Rub ons
Gina Marie stamps -- Birthday words sentiment
Elizabeth Craft designs -- Flower Mosaic embossing folder
American crafts -- twine

I have heard talk from some people that the rubons start to go bad over time and I have had these rubons for quite some time and they seemed to work great for me, I should go through my others and see how they are fairing over time, you maybe seeing more cards using rub ons in the future :)

Stop by again tomorrow, I will be sharing another Dies R us post for you.
Hope your enjoying a fantastic weekend, I went out this morning and there was actually a cool breeze, it was beautiful!

Thanks for stopping by,

Connie

Awesome card Connie and great use of the rub-on! (never thought of that ... duh! ... lol) I JUST made a similar card yesterday with my midwest friends which I'll be posting once I get back home. Looks awesome and thanks for the link to the challenge. Great inspiration! Have a fabulous weekend!

Oh, Connie, how beautiful, and I love the rub-ons for the transparency part. I've never thought about heat embossing on acetate. Love the embossed card base. Can't wait to see your next Dies R Us card, sweet friend! Have a blessed day today! Hugs!

Really pretty card with that green. Your post reminds me of all the store bought embellishments I have that I never use but should before they are out of style. Thanks for the tip.

Now I really wish I still had those SU! rub ons I gave away. This is sure pretty with the embossed fresh green and the acetate panel. I hope you aren't going to sell me more dies tomorrow, Connie. Sheesh! But I'll look forward to your creation.

Lovely card Connie. That acetate strip looks awesome and I really like the great texture too. I have some rub-ons hiding somewhere in my craft room. :)

Stunning card!!! I love it! I think that using the rub ons is way easier than stamping onto the acetate!!!
