Arches National Parks

I am doing this park in a few different posts because I just had to hard of a time deciding which pictures to post and I didn't want to overwhelm you with pictures.  I believe I have the correct info about each of the photos but I will have my hubby check when he can and let me know if I am wrong :)

This first picture is not of the park but a summit over look of a few different ranges of mountains, with the Old Dillion Reservoir in Colorado.   I love when we find these little pullovers where we can see such beauty and get a bit of time out of the car. This is the kind of stuff I like instead of flying to a destination.

This is the South window Arch

South and North window Arches

I don't believe we were at the top yet when I took this picture, but this was the view when I turned around, you can see to the left the parking lot, and see a few people on the trail to the arches, the paths are pretty good, a bit tiring because it is a constant hill. That range of mountains in the background has double arch.

Turret Arch, As you can see on the steep trails there are stairs, but the dirt is filling them in.

I just loved the texture in this one, so I had to share :)

Here is another picture of Turret Arch from the other side after we climbed up those stairs in the last arch picture.

Ok that is it for today, we stayed until Sunset and I will be sharing those pics tomorrow.  This was a beautiful place.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,

Connie

This is an amazing place which we've visited a couple of times. The whole area is astounding. You can't walk two steps without seeing another photo you have to take. Rich and I were just talking about Arches the other day. Gorgeous photos, Connie!

How incredible, Connie - I find the desert mesmerizingly beautiful. We used to camp out at Red Rock Canyon near Las Vegas. Loved it. I wonder, do you think your husband would ever mind if I used any of your photos on my blog header? I realize that they are his artwork - and that he probably sells them. If so, I would not want to infringe on his copyright. But thought I would ask anyway. His eye captures beauty everywhere! hugs, de
