Climb High

Well I tried coloring this stamp before using colored pencils and didn't really like the way it turned out, I do like the marker coloring on this one better but still not happy with it, don't know what it is, but hopefully my great nephew liked it.  I like the positive sentiment for many occasions.

I highlighted the words High and Dreams with a marker.

Katy Sue Designs -- Simpler Times stamp set
Darcie -- Nesting wavy squares (sentiment framing)
Spellbinders -- Lg. Classic inverted scalloped squares die
Crate paper -- Party day paper
Shading with distress inks

Well we only managed a couple inches at the most that I can tell.  I didn't make it out of the house yesterday getting ready for the kids coming but my hubby managed to get out and take some pictures of the snow at a nearby lake and pond.
We had a lovely visit with the kids and they bought me some more Spectrum sparkling markers in 6 different colors so I am going to have to try something out with them :)

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today, Have a fabulous weekend!!

Connie

This is so very wonderful! I love the soft colouring you've done on this. So nice to hear that your kids got you the Spectrum Noir pens. Can't wait to see your creations using it :)

oooooh! this is SO CUTE, Connie! I especially like that you have used a die cut to simulate a tree house, and then added the sentiment below it! REALLY fantastic card with the pretty inking! hugs, de

What a darling card, Connie! I think your coloring turned out lovely!
I'd like to invite you to link this card up to the CropStop Challenge. The only rule is that you have to use products that come from companies they carry. (You used Spellbinders, Distress Inks, and Darcie - they carry all 3!) Here's the link if your interested: http://www.cropstop.com/blog/uncategorized/december-challenge-linky-party-23/

I like the image colored with such light colors like you used. Very sweet.

Are the spectrum sparkle pens like WInk of Stella? They sound fun!

Hi Connie, wow this card is adorable. I love it. Love the sweet characters on the limb of the tree. So special.
Have a great weekend. Snow here yesterday. Rare for us and cold too. Next week into the 70's again. Windows begin Monday so I'll be off for awhile from the computer. Hugs!

Hi Connie, Your card is wonderful. It reminds be of the way children were portrayed in art, way back when I was a child. Yes, I'm admitting to being "Vintage", it sounds better than "Old", LOL. We got more snow last night and we are expecting more again today. I'm looking so forward to Spring, so that I can get these bones of mine warm again.
Have a marvelous week and keep making these lovely greeting cards.
Connie :)

This is so darn sweet and the soft blues make him look like he's sitting on a cloud. I do like the sentiment, too, and your coloring looks wonderful to me. I bought a set of the Spectrum sparkle pens, but haven't used them on a card yet. Tried them out and I do like the finish they give. Kind of a glossy sparkle.
