I am still sharing challenges from my cardmaking group. This one was to use something new on your card. I have used this stamp set before but never these flowers from the set, and I have had this crackle background stamp but hadn't used it before either. The framing die I received for Christmas. The die is just a bit too big to fit on an A2 size card.
These flowers took forever to do, I must have tried 3 or 4 different ways of coloring them. I really need some more inks or something. I stamped the leaf on top of the stamped background and did the flowers individually and hand cut them out. I also bought new after Christmas the transparent round glitter stickers at my Local stamp store.
JustRite - Crackle background stamp
Penny Black -- Petal Power stamp set
Spellbinders -- Water Lilies die
Starform -- Transparent glitter stickers
Stamps of Life - Minis 4 circles sentiment stamp set
EK success -- 1" punch
Well we are getting winds from the south which is picking up our temperature, but the winds are very strong, The big trees in our neighborhood are just swaying. I was so sad to hear the big tree in California that you could drive through had fallen over in the big winds, I had always thought that would be neat to go see someday. I hope you are safe and well where you are.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and letting me know you did, love to hear from you :)

i like the crackle background on this card. and although the flowers took a long time, they are beautiful, worth the time you invested!! we are waiting for a little snow today, on thursday it is suppose to be 61, weird weather!!
Oooh, the frame, the background, the roses -- all beautiful! And combined they're stunning! I didn't hear that the drive through tree had fallen over. That's so sad! I've driven through that tree before. This has been quite the winter.
I love the rose with the crackle background! It looks reallly neat!
I did not hear about the tree falling in CA. I am going to go look up now if that is the one I have visited or not!
Well, although the flowers took a long time they do look lovely and the colour is nice too.
Here in the UK we are preparing for some 'arctic type' weather coming very soon! I think I will be keeping warm enjoying some soups and warming casserole dishes!
All the best Jan
Connie, beautiful roses! I have seen the big beautiful sequoia trees. They are magical and mystical. So sad to see one fall down.
The crackle background is a really cool effect and your flowers look lovely.
The crackle background is a fabulous background for your rose, and the elegant frame is stunning!
Such a pretty card, Connie! Love the vintage look! So sad about that Redwood tree falling :( Stay inside during those strong winds. xx K

Roses make my heart go pitter patter, sweet friend, and that is exactly what your card did. It's beautiful and though it took forever to color I'd say it was well worth it :)
Stay safe and warm! Hugs
