New flowers

I am always on the look out for layering stamps and I found this one and it was on sale, well I just had to give it a try. I also found some Studio G stamps in a pack of 4 in shades of red to pink and thought I would pick them up and try them with the stamps.  I really need to try the inks with other stamps and vice versa, before I really want to say what I think about them, but I wasn't as happy with my results and this was with restamping with my MISTI, and I still wasn't thrilled with the coverage. So I am not sure if it was the stamps or the inks, I really should have tried with others before posting so I could let you know, sorry about that.

I fussy cut the flowers and leaves before adding them to the card.  My Nuvo drops didn't turn out perfectly round either, oh my goodness it just wasn't my day for card making I guess.

Hampton Art -- SCO747 Flower Amaze stamp
Studio G inks
Spellbinders -- Circle delight die
Lilybeedesign -- Head over heels paper
Nuvo Crystal drops - Carnation pink

Wishing you all a fabulous weekend, thanks so very much for taking out the time to stop by,

Connie

Your card is so beautiful, I really love the patterned paper and the flowers. As for inks, have you tried Altenew layering inks? They stamp really well. Just a suggestion from my side :)

Well, you may not be pleased with how the flowers turned out using the MISTI, but your recipient will! Thanks for sharing your experiments with us, AND your pretty cards, too, Connie! (I also love that background paper! hugs, de

Well I think it's a beautiful card Connie! I hear ya about sometimes not knowing if it's the ink or the stamp ... but all we can do is just experiment and see what works best! That's what I do and that's also how I end up with so many bit & pieces laying around that at some point I find a use for! LOL I'm sure who ever receives this beauty will LOVE it ... especially since you put your heart & soul into it! Keep trying ... that's what we crafter do! LOL hugs

Oh we are our own worst critics. I like your card, I think those flowers look beautiful and this is such a great design! I also looooooooooooooove that POP of bright green for your sentiment, it looks awesome!

Well, Connie, my first thought when I saw your card was how pretty the colors and arrangement. I love the bright green and soft pink against the gray patterned background. The circle die is pretty, too. I have had your same experience and, yes, it could be either the stamps or the inks. I have some clear stamps that are so cute, but I can only use with Versamark and embossing. I also have some inks that just won't cover well on any stamp. They want to pool up and separate. The reinkers work great for watercoloring, though. I bought several of these particular inks all at once, but never bought them again after that.
