I started out making this birthday card and half way through a bell went off that this stamp would look great with blue ink on black paper and since I needed a thinking of you card also I made two cards with this stamp. The butterfly used on this first card is also in this stamp set, I embossed it with white embossing powder and colored it in with marker. It is hard to see the lace I used at the bottom of the card, it was some that my mom had when she passed.

Wow did we have the rain yesterday, we had flooding again but it stayed in the ditch thankfully, the peppers and the carrots are taking off like crazy but so is the weeds, never ending but when it isn't too hot I don't mind and tomorrow is suppose to be nice, so you know what I will be up to tomorrow :)
Hope you all are enjoying whatever your weather is like.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by today,
Connie

So pretty! I especially like the blue on black, that was a great idea! Love how you added some gems to the stamping too!
Both your cards are very pretty, but I definitely like the second one more. The blue on black looks striking.
Connie, I can't decide which card I like more. They are both gorgeous! One is like daylight and one is like night. ♥
Can I borrow that bell? hahaha These are great, really beautiful and I adore the 2nd one, everything just POPS! So pretty!
Both nice cards.
We are also experiencing heavy rain fall and winds, it is not like summer at all.
Hope your veggies continue to grow well ... you can't beat home-grown.
All the best Jan
Lovely projects, Connie! The cards are beautiful, and look so different in the color choices! We have had a little rain lately, too, and I'm grateful for sure! We have major weed issues as well. Even with mulch, the weeds take hold! xo
Oh Connie, I love this one! Something about the colors! So pretty!

Wow, Connie, the stamp is just beautiful and so is the blue on your first card. So soft and pretty. And the blue on black is a brilliant idea. I need that bell of yours! Gosh, I have so much lace... Most of my buttons were inherited from Mom, but also some sequins and lace. Hope that water stays in the ditch. Enjoy your garden!
So pretty Connie! Both cards... that black is so striking though!
What a beautiful background stamp, Connie, and I love it on both white and black. It's so striking on the black. And I know you must love using your mom's lace. I have so many things from my mom that I cherish. It's always a joy to use it and think of her. I know you feel the same. Beautifully done, sweet friend. We are being dumped on by a TON of water. It's been raining, and there is a weather system that continues to move across the whole of South Florida. Hope you stay dry and have nicer weather so you can weed. We are hoping our orchids keep healthy. Lots of heavy rain. Hugs and love! xoxo
Beautiful cards!!!
Very pretty cards. The collage stamp is awesome. Glad you were able to get two cards made. I like seeing one stamp two ways.
I think both cards are quite beautiful and sweet, my friend.
May you have a lovely and blessed day! Hugs!
