Grateful

Now I know this isn't probably your first idea for a Thanksgiving card, but I think these two will give my daughter and son in law a smile.  We will miss them this year as they won't be making the trip back home from Connecticut to Illinois, but wanted them to know how grateful we are for them in our lives :)

I used both distress inks and Oxide inks on some orange cardstock to give the leaves some extra color. Both of these stamps were in a bag of stamps I bought at the yard sale at my stamp store :)

Great impressions - Scarecrow and crow, colored w/markers
Spellbinders - Curved Rectangles, Lattice rectangle and A2 matting basics A dies
DCWV - Wild Splendor paper
Northwoods - Sentiment stamp
Taylored Expressions - Mini Leaves die
Brads

Wow did we have a big storm come through on Saturday that took a lot of leaves off the tree, it was raining leaves around here, so pretty but sad to see so many go.

Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by again today,

Connie

Your DD and SIL will love this adorable card - who would not? I especially like the bright, cheerful colors and the gorgeous rusty colored frame against the sunny background of the same color. So cute! And what a way of sending a sentiment - there couldn't be anything more beautiful than to be grateful to those nearest us. I know we are not family, or nearby neighbors, but I'd like to express my gratitude, Connie, for the many ways you contribute to my little life with your constant endeavors in new techniques, the sharing of your life and family, the gorgeous photos of Life through the eyes of Connie, and our sweet email communications. Definitely enriching in every way! xx

This certainly put a smile on my face so I know it will on theirs. So sorry your daughter and SIL won't be making it for Thanksgiving. I know how disappointing it is when our children can't make it. You coloured the scarecrow to perfection.

I think it is a lovely Thanksgiving card. I like the image and the leaves look very pretty multicolored. That is a sweet sentiment for your daughter and SIL who won’t be visiting this year. I just addressed all my Thanksgiving cards yesterday. I hope they get there in time!!!

This is pretty much exactly my idea for a Thanksgiving card! It's a fun fall image and looks perfect with the sentiment. He's just lounging there thinking about his family at Thanksgiving. So cute, and your coloring is super! Glad leaves are the only thing that came down in your storm.

Connie, what an adorable card! I especially love the crow! :-)

It rained here last night and the wind has been fierce both days. The leaves have almost all fallen from the trees and it's a bit of a mess.
