Over at A blog Named Hero they are doing a "Put a Flower on it" Challenge. This was great timing as I had just picked up this stamp set at my Local stamp store. I didn't have any lily stamps and I do like the look of layering stamps. There are no leaves in the set so I added some die cut leaves.
Hero Arts - Color Layering Tiger Lily stamp set
Distress inks for the flowers - Scattered Straw, carved pumpkin and Black soot
Spellbinder - Carnation creation (leaves) and Romantic Rectangle dies -- Special Birthday sentiments stamp
BasicGrey - Picadilly paper (black background)
Ms. Sparkle & co. - Watercolor paper (yellow)
Dew drops
Our lilies have not bloomed yet but we have ones that look like these, love the detail in this set.
Hope your week is off to a great start,
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by,
Connie

oh this is so pretty, i love the color combination and of course the little bit of bling. it's just perfect!!
The detail in this is very realistic and soooo pretty! You chose the perfect leaves for it, too. Nicely arranged with paper that accents and doesn't compete. Lovely!
Lovely card,Connie!
I love tiger lilies, Connie! I remember them from my childhood - it seemed everyone had a big patch of them growing by their mailboxes. Lovely card! xo K
Connie, your tiger lilies are incredible! They look real! Beautiful card.
Wishing you a lovely week! Hugs, dE
Wow, Connie, you really made a terrific card. I'm in love with how your Tiger Lily's look. As a kid my grandmother had a cottage that were full of tiger lily's and they became my favourite flower. Sunflowers and Gerbera Daisies are my favourite now, but I'll never forget those beautiful lilies.
Beautiful coloured lilies, the colours are amazing..
Following you now. ♥[aussie aNNie blog]
This is Karen Bull, a design team member from A Blog Named Hero. You did a wonderful job with the color selection on the lilies and I love how they hang off of the background matting you selected. Thank you for playing along this month. Find me on Instagram @karenzbull
