When I saw this stamp set at the store it reminded me of all the Mills we have gone to so I had to pick it up. I colored this with my Spectrum Aqua markers, by applying to acrylic block and picking up the color with wet paint brush and colored pencils. Used distress ink for the sky. I know the jute is a little bulky for mailing but I took this back home with me and had my sister in law give it to my brother on his birthday.
I used the same die set for the framing of the image and the sentiment panel. I also added Spectrum clear sparkle pen to the water to give it a little shine, the camera didn't pick that up even on the close up I tried.

There are a lot of people from the Midwest to the East coast that are dealing with excessive heat this weekend, I hope you all will stay safe, we woke up this morning to all of our windows wet from the humidity out there, needless to say we will be doing a lot of indoor activities this weekend.
Thanks so very much for taking the time out of your busy summer schedule to stop by and say Hi,
Connie

The humidity is extra strong for this time of year, even in wet, humid Florida! So yes, we are indoors more than out, too. The humidity makes everything hotter, and it puts added stress on the body to cool down. Your water mill is gorgeous! Loving your greenery, and the soft tone of the water. hugs, de
Gosh it does sound hot up there. Could you hurry up some lovely hot weather down here. =) A beautiful card, Connie; perfect for a gentleman. I have always loved old American water mill buildings.
Very pretty card. I'm sorry to hear about our weather problems. That was us two summers ago. Here's to some cooler days.
Connie :)
WOW Connie, I love this stamp and your card is amazing...beautifully coloured.x
What a wonderful stamped and colored image Connie. Makes for a fabulous card design.
Hugs Diane
Luckily here it is always, cooler by the coast! We have had some warm temps but lucky enough to have that cool ocean breeze, hope it continues! This is a great card. That old mill looks great on your card. I like the masculine vibe of it all! Stay cool and just stamp on!
This is a beautiful stamp and card. Whereas the mill was a hub of activity in its day, it now exudes peace and serenity. Wonderful card, Connie. I see the temps on the weather map and feel for the people living there. It's all over the midwest, south, east, and southwest. We're always cooler here on the coast.
i really like this stamp, and all of the beautiful county like details!!
it has been a very hot couple of days for us, today is suppose to be the worst. we lost power for about 5 hours yesterday, i don't know if it was the excessive heat or perhaps a substation problem. it was a very large area in our town that were out!! we left, went out for an early dinner and then rented a movie. when we came home, it was still out. the pool is open and good to go, but when it is this hot, i need a/c!!!
hoping it stays on today!!! have a happy sunday!!!
Beautiful card with its' embellishments. When I saw this I thought I saw this stamp before then I remembered it was a photo you took a while back that I was thinking of. How exciting to find such a find.
What a beautiful card. It could be framed for artwork for sure. hugs, lj
